Re: Vidya games!!
That'd be the computer RPG Knights of the Old Republic (and 2)... which was much more for the storyline and humor than anything else (and HK-47. 'cause he's the most awesome droid ever written/created). Honestly, I was more miffed that they went with a hit points system rather than a proper vitality/wound system like Star Wars D20... and I believe you could see your rolls if you tweaked an option or two. I could be mistaken about that, though.
Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy (or Dark Forces 4, as I like to call it) was an action game through and through. The stats went purely by percentage (100hp, 100force, 200shields=full).
*takes a breath*
[/starwarsgeekmode]
also, PS3 iz fun. DiRT and GRID are quite difficult games. Difficult in a good way. Also, I got Conan (which is like... God Of War: Mortal) and Soul Calibur 4 (in which I spent hours on the character creator)...

Re: Vidya games!!
Yeah, it's a far from perfect game system. Almost the "D&D" to "AD&D" of Star Wars D20 (which is sad, since the game does all of the calculating and rolling for you).
So basically, if you can't get into the story to the point where combat is merely an obstacle to advancing the plot... don't bother. It may take a total Star Wars geek to feel that way, though.

I made KoToR 2 a challenge for me by making a blaster jedi. Then I found out with certain upgrades dual blasters end up trumping sabers. Poor Trieya got blasted more than Greedo.

The controls are rather simplistic and limiting in terms of force power control... though the new force grip functionality is pretty cool (and could totally be applied to a Jedi Knight styled game... which would be much more awesome).
the duel mode puts a lot of fighting games to shame, too. I likey. I want a Jedi Knight-esque PC remake now.

As long as we get Raven software to put the realistic saber combat command back in the game. Oh I loved the Jedi of Fortune code that let you kill stormtroopers for just TOUCHING your lightsaber.

indeed. All I want is the old style of controls from the Jedi Knight series with the updated physics and force grip functionality of Force Unleashed (with some backtracking on the saber physics, like you said. they used to be much more precise). And Pummel, because it is awesome.

You guys will be very happy with me. I went to the mall today and tirelessly searched GameStop for SotC. I looked for over an hour and I finally left and went to another store. (The one time I'm actually going to buy it of corse they don't have it) In the other store I asked th girl that worked there if they had it and she said yes. I got it for 20 bucks and it's brand new. ^____^ I can't wait to play it!!

Heh, just bought Sonic and the 7 rings.
It´s a step in the right direction for the franchise, it remidns me alot of the original 3d games, Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 and that´s a very good thing.

Oh, that one was tough. Basically, you've got to wait until you can keep Agro on a straight path, and then pull out the bow and blast him in the eye. It may take a few tries, but once you get the hang of it, it's not too bad. Oh yeah, and keep Agro running as fast as he can. The final one gave me more trouble.

The graphics in Crysis is awesome! I've seen the demo, but never touched the game. How 'high' is the requirements? If its not too high I might buy one...and maybe get a better graphic card to accommodate it.
Never enjoy modern warfare that much. Activision should have stay in the WWII genre...
...I'm waiting for CoD World at War. Wanna' see how we kill ambush the allies...and kill them in the process :p
Speaking of which, anyone here play 'Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis'? And has anyone done any modding to it? I play using the Genesis Expansion Project v.2 mod but am still having trouble with the land cruiser. The path marker disappears when the path goes up to 1300+, so does anyone know how to fix this?

I still think that WWII genres would fit best. When CoD4 popped out, I was hoping someone out there would mod CoD 1 & 2 to fit CoD4's engine. I like WWII better than the modern warfare type for some reason.

You know? It would be interesting to make a survival game based on the holocaust. OR a FPS through the eyes of the Axis forces. It'll be cool to hear your leader speaking in German (with translation) and ordering you to advance towards Allied lines and obliterate them as the Panzer division in the left and right assists you.
So you're a jew going in a hiding. Maybe your first objective is to run from the Nazis and find a safe place to hide as borders are beginning to close.
Then further you have to escape your hiding spot since Allied bombings nearly killed you.
Maybe the last level involved you in a concentration camp, planning ways to escape

I have a friend who has crysis (off of steam). He says that whilst the graphics are good, the game itself sucks.

Sadly with the way people are so "sensitive" about things we wouldnt see the holocaust game. The closest we've ever gotten to playing as the opposing force in a WWII game was Company of Heroes when you got to actually play as the Germans in one point.

I've played the Germans in Armorgames.
Damn they have the most versatile infantry EVER!! I love the sturmtruppe unit! Build sufficient number of them and you don't have to call in as much artillery units as necessary.
British units sucks...the tank and artillery is what makes them good. I RARELY use those as an asset though...
I have to say that ConArtist creates amazing flash-games. The Last Stand 1 & 2 is also very addictive
Oh! Just an idea, What-san, maybe you can create a GsG Flashgame? Doesn't have to shoot zombies--maybe a large number of people :p

Re: Vidya games!!
I didnt know there was a stat difference.... you sure you aren't dreaming?
Nope. Played it over and over using two different sides and figured it out.
Sturmtruppes are more resilient than its British counterpart. The 'Assault' troops could be completely obliterated by a single sturmtruppe squad out in the open. German MG teams kills their target much faster than the British' MG team.
Rifle squad's the same though; the only difference is, German rifle squad seems to hit their target more often than the Brits. I need to test this again.
Officer's the same on both sides as moral boosters and--most commonly--mine fodder. Its funny, I tried sending an officer up in the forward trench to give 2 MG team a boost in damage. Everytime they're close to the trench they're either get killed by mortar/artillery or stepped on a mine. Its funny since I sent 5 and almost every time they move up its always him who stepped on the mines despite having 2 rifle squads going forward first.
British tanks were much-much better than the Germans--or so I see it. I think they can deploy their tanks faster than the Germans do and seems to be more accurate when they attempt to destroy the opposing tank--although I have to say, German tanks were infantry grinders.
*back to trying to find the .swf file for download*

Played it 360, wouldn't say it sucks. I had a lot of fun playing it. I hate to tell you there is no napalm to burn the jungle down with. There are some really large weapons that would deforest a large area though...
You have to figure it was designed for a next gen system. It's going to be piece meal playing it on a last gen system.

Ooh...Ok...

THAT!! Hell yeah I'll definitely get THAT!! You can't even 'deforest' area in the PS2. I'm crying l when I use the carpet bomb support option to torch the Amazon jungle. Oh I have a goal alright. Since PLAV missions were limited, and also considering how I am AN-supportive and the fact how AN continuously attacks the PLAV and China...after purchasing a decent amount of PLAV equipments (and after completing their mission, of course) I usually make enemies with them and--yes--I torch their base and kill everyone using the carpet bomb support option (FEAR ME!!!)!!
How I wish I could see the entire area cleared and burning when that happens...in the PS2 the trees are still standing -_-;
EDIT:
They should have the next Mercenary in Vietnam, Thailand or Indonesia and use that mass-deforestation effect to its full potential. Not India. What the hell are you gonna' burn in India rather than the Taj Mahal (oh yes, I really want to blow that structure up if Merc 3 comes up. CLICKCLICKCLICK BOOM! HAWHAWHAW!!)? I did raze Pyong Yang to the ground in the first Mercenary using B-52 Stratofortress carpet bombing the entire city to nothingness...somewhat reminds me of Dresden.
...aaaah I love the sight of destruction (in video games). Calms my heart...

Anyone actually play Metal Gear Online? I love playing the game but the community makes me question the intelligence of people these days. If you want an example of how retarded the community is, look at the GameFAQs forum for said game.

Bionic Commando...?
Is that the game that's like Spiderman with a gun?
lol. I love BC. I bought Bionic Commando: ReArmed (lol"ReArmed"... get it?) and it's a fucking blast to play, especially the multiplayer deathmatches.
