How's the weather where you are at?

Well the air here in Sacramento, California flat out SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My home city is serounded by wildfires one of which is so big it could cover the intire city.

A news crew went for a ridealong with some firefighters down a mountain road I swear it looked like the highway to hell trees & grass on fire to the right, trees & grass on fire to the left & one big fat fire in front of the truck needless to say they were driveing backwards the way they came.

The whole valley my town is in is socked in by smoke. A waterpark had to close up early because of the bad air causeing a lot of breathing problems.

The only good thing about the smoke is that it kept us to a sweltering 108 degree temperature compared to a smoke free Marysville that had about 117 degrees.

But it wasn't enough to save a old woman who died from a heatsroke.

All & all I wish I was at the beach sure I'd be frying but the air would be clean. Laughing

WOW! I'm glad I don't live there! That really stinks and I hope things get better.

I live in the New York area and it's been kinda rainy for a few days. Not TOO hot either, which is nice. Razz

fluctuating day by day from about 75-90F, sunny and breezy.
No rain for weeks, which is a worriesome oddity hearabouts. The lawn is dying at work.

It wasn't so bad this morning over here in Hertfordshire (whereabouts are you?) but just about 10 minutes ago it got really heavy...

Down here in San Jose, California (BBBAAAYYYY AAARRREEEEYYYYAAAAA!) it is a extremely humid. Thank god for air conditioning.

Well the fires are still going strong & have claimed there first life (Listion up folks when a fireman tells you to leave your home & you know that there is a large fire over those hills you don't ask questions you just go.).

But we got something called the Delta Breeze that acts like a air conditioner for the whole valley & has cleared out all the smoke from the ground to the 200 foot marker & dropped us down to the high 80's.

We can expect to have 93 degrees tommrow which is way better then the 105 to 110 degree days whe have been haveing.

Western Pennsylvannia is warm, 70% of the time sunny, 30% of the time rainy, and thoroughly pleasant for the first time in about 5 years. o.O Its amazing. The weather isn't sucky. The grass is green, the sky is blue and cloudless (when it isn't raining), and of course, I spend all my time working in a windowless hellhole. >_>

Well, still the weather is nice.

With heavy rain poring down every 2 to 3 hours or so.

IOW: Better carry an umbrella or a good Jacket or rain coat, because this is the kind of weather that can get you sick easily. *sneezes*

So some people (Like me) will just rough it.

Check your North American geography Iowa is in the near the middle of the country. I live in California on the WEST (because it's the BEST) coast. Laughing

Beside we could use the rain we got so many wildfires burning that I'm surprised that the sky its self hasn't burst into fire.

From So Cal. Getting hotter, but today the weather was nice and cool.

I felt your pain, Paladin, late last year when the LA/SD region was on fire. Over a quarter million needed to evacuate and the air was unbreathable. Yea...gotta love living in California!

My area doesn't get snow very often, but has the potential to get a lot when it does. After all, we get tons of rain here. Oh, and did I mention that people in my area aren't very well prepared for snow? Smile

We had about 20-25cm of snow here in Seattle on Thursday morning. It then went sunny on Friday so what little melt happened turned to ice. We have not been above 0°C since Tuesday and are usually 10 below in the day and 20 below at night.

We are expected to get another severe snow storm this evening dropping another 15-20cm on us with high winds and gusts upwards of 100-150km/h. So I've charged up the UPS batteries and am having an early dinner before I start lighting the candles and hunker down.

. I've lived here all my life and I've hated winter since I can remember. The only thing I really enjoy about it is the mosquitoes/bugs go away. With all the cold weather you can't do much but stay inside (no ski/snowboarding areas around here) so I get cabin fever quite easily. It's not a coincidence that winter becomes "Catch up on movies/video games" season for me. Laughing

I need to be able to get out and roam around or I get stir crazy. I really need to look into relocating someplace warm once I'm able.

it's funny... I'm actually more active during the winter than the summer. It's probably in my blood. If my ancestors weren't looting and pillaging when the ice started forming in their beards, they just weren't happy.

It's cold and we just got a snow storm today. We got about 8 to 11 inches today. And I wouldn't say I'm thrilled with the snow since winter is my most hated season.

And to add more fuel to the mess, we have another storm coming in for moderate to heavy snowfall tomorrow.

my driveway is steep icy and over 500 ft long and im armed with but a humble shovel.

i told the drive i was gonna ******* (insert malicous curse here) it over with the shovel and i ended up wrecking the shovel and my body i hurt all over right now.

but hey the drive way is clean and my family can get home safely its fine with me.

Currently in the NY (Queens) area it is 28° F although it feels more like 16, companied with inches of snow within the upcoming hours. Oh how I love winter! I get to catch up on shows and games ;p

its bright and sunny here 11 c (52 F) 9mph wind from the SW showers later and no snow at all ,mind you even when it does snow here 3 inches is enough to bring the entire country to a standstill,because its so rare we don't have enough equipment to clear it or experience of driving in it !

No snow here either, but it was pretty cold. Fortunetly, the sun is shining directly into my window so I'm comfortably warm Very Happy
