Not in a theater, to be sure. Might rent the DVD so I can fast-forward through it to the fight scenes.

Honestly, when I first heard of the movie I was scared.

You have every reason to be afraid. Click on the link I posted above and you'll find out why.

I might download it, get drunk and watch it before deleting it... but that sounds like a lot of effort for a purported 'pile of garbage'
...still, I might... just for old times sake.
the lines they quoted in that ANN review sound like complete epic fail... which may actually make the thing worth watching...

sample dialogue: “I'm Bulma Briefs!” “Punk, prepare for your clock is going to be cleaned!” “Cheese and rice, my nads got scorched!”
"where are the Dragonballs?" "Looks like they're gone again!" "Well, we better go find them!"

...sounds a lot like the beer+La Blue Girl dub experience, only less cheesey 'cause there's no horrible attempts at porn involved.

i plan to, but just see. the condition might not allow me to.

The movie is awful the only way the movie could ever redeem itself if Chow Yun Fat went Tequila mode took two berettas and started going John Woo on everyone.

Werd brotha. I can't believe they even THOUGHT making DBZ into a live action film would work...

I haven't been a fan of Dragonball in years and don't plan on resuming watch of the series anytime soon, if ever. Even so, I figured the movie was gonna tank after seeing a trailer for it and hearing how poorly Hollywood's take on Speed Racer went.

hollywood just doesn't have the correct mindset to do this sort of thing properly

I used to be pretty big on Dragonball.

I cant help but go "What The Fuck?" with this movie.
Still, I am sure as heck going to at least try and watch it.

I just can't even try. I wish I were like Tommy. Even if I did go to see it I would get made fun of anyway... But I just think about and I have this idea of what I would want already I can't settle for anything else.

I don't get it. What's all this problem about Goku being white? No-one's ever specified what race the Saiyan people are supposed to look like.

Hollywood doesn't think Asians and other non-white races resonate with today's American youth, so we have the travesty like MNS' Avatar: The Last Airbender where they cast the latest hot white kid pop stars for the roles even though the original cartoon's cast is nothing but Asians and non-whites.

I wouldn't see it. I've never liked DBZ... But after seeing the trailer all I have to say it this...

I wish I were like that Tommy. I really do. I take what people say about me to heart to much... I am sure that it must be a great feeling. I know that it's probably hard for you to understand but I've got care about what people think. Even if I tried to forget what people said about me... It would still come back to haunt me. I know it weird....

Well,I saw it.

I'd say the first half was a decent popcorn flic (that's not much but better than nothing) ....and just when I start thinking "hey,if this wasn't supposed to be DBZ it would be kinda decent" the 2nd half happened and words can't describe how much I think it was horrible so i won't try.

They really tried to leave room for a sequel,wonder if it'll happen.

I've seen it as well, and I think that the whole Story is kinda weak.
I term live action of Anime/mange to be a good thing. However, I look at this Live action of DBZ as if it were a turd in a toilet, ready to be flushed down the drain. "Out of sight out of mind" which is exactly what I did with the downloaded DBZ Life action movie.

Live action should stick with the story line as it was originally created in its Manga/Anime original. DBZ Throws that totally out of the window. I mean, Goku doesn't really resemble his Manga version. Granted you cant really match a Manga face to a Real face, but they could at least have him have the same hairstyle and cloths but even that is asking too much. what I do get annoyed at is that they actually took the time to let Bulma use one of those capsules from capsule corp. but the difference between the movie and the Manga is that everyone is riding around in cars from Capsule corp.

In a side note, Yamcha is a total fail as well. I kinda liked the character in the Manga, but I totally hate the movie version. that and he totally doesn't resemble the Mange version at all. not in character, and not in appearance.

and what about Roshi? the dude is so young, in DBZ Canon, Roshi is the one that taught Goku's Father. Goku's father was old, but Roshi in the life action didn't even look like he was over 50 years old. its been established that Roshi isn't immortal and he certainly didn't discover the fountain of youth either.

and then saw the trailer, "eeewww ,what in the world was that"
i have all the comics, but the concept that i'll watch the movie was very out of this world, and i didn't, what a waste of money

You know what's worse? That movie about Chun Li that recently came out.

I find it very hard to believe the reports that Akira Toriyama was satisfied with what these people did with his creation.

while i real, i think he's pissed off too
