Movie Night

Soooo I've been wanting to do this for a while. I want to have a movie night where a bunch of us log on together and we can all watch a movie.  I feel like that would be a pretty cool thing to do and it's never been done before. Does anyone know of a website that we can use, or something to download? I preferably would like to stream the movie from my computer, so we have more movies to choose from. Also it would be awesome if we can all see each other on webcam. Maybe a few of you have done this before (I haven't) so I'm not sure which website is the best.  

If we get enough people interested we should totes do it soon!  I propose a horror movie... or Star Wars...  

Or we could watch one of the prequels, which is both horror and Star Wars.

I dig this idea. You're going to need a videoconferencing format though. Google+ is good, but there are better ones out there. Otherwise it'll prolly be better as a big Ventrilo session.

Also scheduling could be an issue and also streaming from home might pose problems with newer and stricter copyright issues. So it might be better for others to use their own media, or accounts (Netflix, Redbox Instant, etc), or other "means"... ;  to play the media.

Other than those hurdles; I think it's a great idea. I'm in.

MST3K, but with an audience full of cyborg nuts ... I vote 'AI', or 'The Bicentennial Man'.

If we're doing MST3K, it has to be The Screaming Skull, Hobgoblins or Space Mutiny.

I'm in if i'm free at the time. I really have no serious input on movies.

If we watch Bicentennial Man, be prepared to see me cry at the ending.

We could use Skype, if you want.

No Star Wars prequels.  Period.

Given that this is a GSG forum, perhaps some of the waif-fu films such as Hanna or Leon?

If you guys would REALLY want to see that abomination, then by all means, let's watch it. It have excessive sex, gore, more sex and more gore... and sex. I would rather watch The Room tbh. At least that movie is hilarious.

Soo I downloaded Ventrilo and it looks like I need to pay for a server. :/ Do you already have a server, Boom Boom? I can't find any streaming site that has conference chat, and lets us watch something. I won't give up though!! >:T

I found this Triela: https://www.synaptop.com looks free, has chat (both Video and txt), and a Movie app. I created an account and looked around. Looks completely free, the demos I watched looked like its pretty simple to use. May be an option.

OMG thank you sooo much!! I made an account and uploading The Conjuring to see if it worked and it does!!  We have limited space for the movies we can upload so maybe a few of us can upload a movie or two. :3

So I have The Conjuring on there. I wouldn't mind watching that. I have a feeling you guys would get a kick out of Tucker and Dale vs Evil. It's sooo funny! XD

So any of you that want to join in, get an account on Synaptop and I'll add you.  Maybe we can do it this week, or this weekend? :3

Well school is starting up for me in about a week, so I was hoping to get one movie in before then. Of corse, if you guys want we can do this more than once!
