Re: Random Media
LONDON (Reuters) - Mexico's ambassador in London has written a furious letter to BBC bosses to complain about "offensive and xenophobic" comments made by presenters of the popular TV motoring show "Top Gear."
Ambassador Eduardo Medina Mora was infuriated by "insults" made by presenters Richard Hammond, Jeremy Clarkson and James May during Sunday's episode of the cult show, which has been sold to television channels around the world.
"Why would you want a Mexican car? Because cars reflect national characteristics don't they?," said Hammond as they discussed the Mexican sports car, the Mastretta.
"Mexican cars are just going to be lazy, feckless, flatulent, overweight, leaning against a fence asleep looking at a cactus with a blanket with a hole in the middle on as a coat."
The trio then described Mexican food as "refried sick" before suggesting Mexicans spent all day asleep.
"That's why we won't get any complaints about this because at the Mexican embassy the ambassador's going to be sitting there with a remote control like this," said Clarkson, pretending to slump in a chair, snoring.
However, the ambassador did complain, demanding the BBC order the presenters to make a public apology.
"The presenters of the programme resorted to outrageous, vulgar and inexcusable insults to stir bigoted feelings against the Mexican people, their culture as well as their official representative in the united Kingdom," he wrote.
"These offensive, xenophobic and humiliating remarks serve only to reinforce negative stereotypes and perpetuate prejudice against Mexico and its people."
There was no immediate comment from the BBC about the complaint.
Top Gear is well-known for its edgy banter and its hosts are no strangers to controversy. Hundreds of viewers complained in 2008 about a joke made by Clarkson about murdering prostitutes.

The problem, Jezza, is that Top Gear is shown at 8PM. If it had been noonish, you'd have been okay because the Ambassador would have been in his siesta period.

Since it is custom for Japanese girls to give the boys they like candy on Valentines Day, Kara whipped up some goodies in the kitchen for Michele. But she also wanted to do something special for him:
Dance cover by Megu [めぐぐ]. The song is called "Valentine Kiss" by Sayuri Kokushō and it was her first solo outside of the girl idol group Onyanko Club.

This Japanese CGI film is called, CSO (Cat Shit One). It talk about bunnies (based on American) fight against camel/horse (which is likely based on Al-Qaeda/Taliban) to put end of conflict. In first episode, this mission where you have to save hostage. This movie is awesome. I give it 9 out of 10 stars.

It's old. The episode premiered ages ago. But it's still good; I'm a big fan of having cute animal characters act out a serious storyline. Kinda formulaic, however; I hope future episodes offer better.

I haven't read the Jane Austen zombie stuff, so I can't really compare it yet, but I guess it might be. Zombies, while changing the feel of the original source material, tend to make stuffy literary classics easier to stomach.

Re: Random Media
The literary mash-ups I've read are Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, Sense and Sensibility and Seamonsters, and Android Karenina. The zombies one was the weakest, with just zombie scenes added. The seamonsters one integrated the monsters into the story more. The addition of androids in Android Kerenina was very well done seriously made the book good sci-fi to read.
The Huck Finn/Robot thing I believe just replaces the "N-word" with the word "Robot." Of course, a mash-up involving robots and Uncle Tom's Cabin would be very interesting to read.

On the 18th of February; Activision closed the doors on a maverick, yet innovative studio.
Although they have left us with a fantastic farewell gift in the likes of Blur, The Club, and James Bond: Blood Stone(who's brilliance was unfortunately overshadowed by the Goldeneye reboot); they will sorely be missed in the gaming industry as well as the gaming community.
For those who have played and enjoyed either unsung classics such as Metropolis Streetracer and the Fur Fighters series; or full fledged franchises such as Project Gotham Racing and Geometry Wars; please, a moment of silence.
Thank you.

Thanks, Chemist.
Kara is now in the corner, hugging her knees to her chin and rocking back and forth.
Now she needs to go film a dance cover to get her mind off the horror of witnessing those "fashions".
Watching apricot* bounce around, I kind of think doing dance covers might not be a bad way to get Kara used to her implants.
Claes: "Rationalize it any way you want, Kara. It's still geeky."
Monty: "What she said."

YES!!! I've finally found it! The one Vocaloid song that not even Kara would ever be caught dead doing a dance cover to (although the song itself is proving to be almost obsenely addictive):
And before you say anything Kisk, yes, I am aware there there ARE people who actually have done dance covers of even this song. My point it that Kara would be mortified at the idea of doing one herself.

I have come across that song/dance cover and always wondered what it was, but yes, you'd have to get Kara insanely liquored-up to try it, and at that point, she'd be too drunk to perform it.
