So bogged down with school work. I drew this in about 15 minutes while listening to the GSG soundtrack. Gross crying the entire time.

Here's one I did in class. It's called strata-cut animation. I used clay, molded it into a long shape, then cut it in small pieces frame by frame. I looped it twice because it's pretty fast.

The UI is much less cluttered.  Manga Studio feels like PhotoShop.

http://www.autodesk.com/products/sketchbook-pro/free-trial

That's a 15-day trialware version of it.  If memory serves, it's actually just serial-locked.  If you like it, buy it off Amazon - I found it for $40, which is far less than Autodesk's MSRP of $65.

Nice collection, Tri. Two of your favorite subjects - dinos and hunks - are well represented. The severed limb imagery is a little disturbing, especially since it doesn't seem to be causing the subjects any discomfort; I wonder at what it symbolizes.

Beautiful Journey pic. It takes me completely by surprise that you're a fan.

Hahaha,  I'm proud to say that I've pushed myself to get better at drawing anatomy. (Inspired to do so by Chris Evans no less! Muh-m-muhahahaha!) I do have more dinosaur pieces, I just need to find them in my confusing filing system (because sometimes I just put stuff in random places on my computer). The severed limb thing for that one character that's chopped up in two pictures and appears in two others is a thing he can survive. It's all part of a story I'm working on, he has a mutation that can regenerate his body, but it leaves behind huge scars.

I can't believe you didn't know! I'm a HUGE Journey fan!!! I've played the game more times than I can count, I've had all my friends play it and I've met the composer, Austin Wintory a few times. :3 I went to see Journey Live (the game is played and a live orchestra plays the music.) I sat in the front row of a tiny room and I sat next to Autsin while he conducted the WHOLE TIME (like if I reached out to the left with my hand three feet I would have been able to touch him XDDD) It was SOOOOO crazy that I was sitting next to someone I looked up to while he conducted the score to one of my favorite video games! O___O

By the end of the concert I waited to meet him and I told him that I had met him at another concert that he did a while back and then I said "And I drew that piece with the dinosaur that you put into your presentation" and his face lit up and he says "Marissa!! What kind of shenanigans are you up to now?" I ALMOST FELL TO THE FLOOR!!!! We had a super nice chat and he took quite a while to come up with something to write into my sketch book. (I could go on and on about my experiences, but it will turn into a book! XDD)

WOW! That sounds like an AMAZING experience, Marissa! It's not everyday that anyone gets to meet their inspiration, and to have it both be such a great time and for him to have used art of yours makes it all the more special. No doubt you'll remember it forever.

That crazy face though...

Nice, these sketches actually look really good. You're picking up a great sense of movement in some of them as well.

Wow, nice. Expression and movement are clear in the more detailed sketches (is this Kyle Reese a character from Genesys?). The little 'welcome Kyle' comic is adorable (Didn't know you were so good at drawing chibis). But that Rex with the big googly eyes.... what could HE be so scared of?

This little folio made me go back to the first page of this thread to look at the first sketches you posted (in your math notebook, naughty girl). You've come a ways since you were sixteen.

Mario Bossi would make a better handler than Marco Toni. Come to think of it, so would Christiano.
.
Elizaveta didn't jump - she was pushed.
.
Sofia was pregnant. It would have been a boy.
.
John Doe faked his own death - twice.
.
Enrica taught Jose everything he knows about the night sky.

I know!! he usually doesn't look that crazy though!! XD Thanks! I've been working on full body and movement for a while. It ALWAYS looks better on paper.

Thaanks for all the compliments!!!! You know it's good when I'M actually happy about my art! Hahahaha!! XD

UGH don't talk to me about Genesys. I liked it for what it was, but Kyle in that movie wasn't MY Kyle. >:T Michel Biehn is perfect where as Jai Courtney is just...

NO THANK YOU!! Imo Sebastian Stan (Bucky Barnes in the Marvel movies) would have been a perfect Kyle Reese in Genesys.
Triela's art - Page 16 Mv5bnt10
(He already plays a soldier so well as Bucky!)

I guess I would have been ok if Jai Courtney played it more like Kyle's personality, but he was cracking jokes and wasn't my PTSD riddled war vet who loved Sarah. ;_; He even said in interviews that he didn't want to just copy Michel Biehn's performance so he made it his own... and in doing so whipped out whatever character Kyle was in the process. >_< HOWEVER in Terminator Salvation, Anton Yelchin did a fantastic job at playing a younger Kyle Reese. Very Happy

Sorry I kinda went on a rant, but I feel very strongly about that topic. XD

God, why would you ever look back at my old stuff!! SO OLD, SO CRINGE!!!! D:

Sokay. But for me, after Michael Biehn, when somebody says 'Kyle Reese,' this is the guy who comes to mind... Triela's art - Page 16 Scc_ky10

Awww I'm not so little!! ;___; I'll have to check it out and see if you're right!! It's gonna be hard to beat Linda Hamilton, though I do LOVE Lena Headly!! (She was in a movie with Norman Reedus called Gossip! Also I'm got a GoT fan, but she was great in it!!)

Yeah seriously, something about working on paper is just so much easier and flows so much better than digital.
