Excellent. A number of us in chat last night were spit-balling a paintball game with the Gunslinger Girls and I figured Triela would have her M1897 so this is perfect timing!

How much is it like?

that trench gun has a pretty spiffy concept behind it, for an airsoft... the gas is charged directly into a fake 12 gauge shell along with three 6mm BBs... it would be a pain in the ass to go find all your shells if you actually played a game with the thing, but I doubt you could get a better non-firearm semi-functional model of an M1897.
one other downside... it costs as much as a decent pistol. a real one, I mean.

Might as well buy a real pistol.

Well, for those of us who can't have one yet (I'm too young. And I don't think I'd pass the psychological test for the authorization ) it is good. Of course, the real thing's more fun, but then again, I'm not going to shoot my friends with a real gun just for fun. Though it'd be interesting. Definitely interesting. But I won't.

By the way, airsoft shotguns (as far as I know, and I'm not really an expert on the subject) shoot three errr.. whateveryacallems. So they're less useful than their real counterparts, right?

This one shoots 3 i know there is a different type of shell that you can buy that shoots more than three.
But this company went for realism and made a shotgun that takes shells and each shell holds 3

but before i leave you think of this...
would you rather i shot you in the head with a real pistol or with an airsoft shotgun? would you rather be caught by police walking around with a real pistol or and airsoft one? I buy airsoft because they are fun and dont get you killed or arrested I buy real guns because they are also fun but i cannot shoot people with them. At least i can shoot someone with an airsoft gun.

Thanks Loc, justice has been done It's so frustrating though... Can't wait till my birthday, when I'm finally allowed to buy throwing knives without a license, though I still won't be allowed to buy guns. And I must say the poster is simply . I'd like to see the one about cutting as well, tsun .

that being said... there's little to stop anyone in Europe from getting a gun. it's just more expensive, and the law has no idea who is armed and who isn't. kinda like drugs in America. When you outlaw something people want, the black market for it grows.

Exactly right. Not to mention that a zip-gun is not a hard thing to make. Steel pipe, something to grip, something to hit the primer, and a shotgun-shell. A skilled lackey can work something nice up in a few hours.

Rehael, while a world without violence is a nice thought, it can never be reality. There's always someone with ambition to lord over others, there's always someone coveting what others have, and there's always disagreements. So long as the human populace exists, this will be so.

I don't own guns to do the things above. I own guns to prevent them from being done to myself and those around me. When you acknowledge that there IS actually good and evil in this world, you have to take a side.
If someone is going to try to seriously harm myself or others, I have every right to use any force necessary to stop them. This is a basic human right of survival that many places, even some in the US, refuse to acknowledge. Talk to the Holocaust surviors about what happens when people come for you and you can no longer effectively resist them. It's usually by a slow disarmament, one like which we are fighting bitterly here in the US.

As to using the power of a gun responsibly? I think I am. I know many millions of others in my country are. A few wack-jobs that crop up are not the majority, and are despised for their acts by those of us who are responsible in our methods. One of the reasons I carry a gun is because you never know when you will run into a nut-case, an armed robber looking for a few bucks, or a serial rapist.

Since the bad-guy chooses the moment of the crime, being ready to repel such a crime committed against you is a life-style change. You have to spot your own weaknesses and defend or fix them. I'm not a strong guy, never been much of a fighter, but I am not afraid to use a gun in defense. Maybe you see it as weak, but I see it as a way to win against someone stronger, faster, or better armed than I would be without a gun. If someone's going to harm me, why should I not be allowed to harm them back, seriously or fatally if neccessary? Crime(like war) is not about fair. It's about winning. If someone comes looking for trouble, there is no reason I should have to fight them fair.
