I play the movie in my Mac and pause it to the screen I want. Then I take a screen shot and edit it on Photoshop. Save it as a Jpeg with NO COMPRESSION(!), send it to the server and its done!

The movie screen is something like 640X400

in most cases: hit the 'print screen' or 'prtscn' key on your keyboard, open some graphical editing software (paint, photoshop, et cetera), and paste it in.

...taking a screenshot off of a DVD (or any other video meduim) is a bit more complicated than most things (at least when running windows... it uses a seperate graphics layer for video playback, so a regular 'print screen' press will yield a blank shot) personally, I use the 'snapshot' feature in vlc media player

I use VLC player. Merely hit "Snapshot" under the "Video" tab. And bingo! The picture is placed in your documents folder.

I prefer it to the "Cut and Paste" involved with the "print scr" button stuff.

Dumb question time: how do you take a screen shot?

They explained it for Windows.

For Mac its:

Shift-Apple-3
-This will take a screen shot of the whole screen.

Shift-Apple-4
-this gives you a tiny cross hair thingy to select an area of the screen to take the shot off.

The screen shot gets saved as a file on either your desktop or
documents folders (depending on your preference; I have it saved to the
desktop so it can be moved later).

Yes- Macs have this button on our Keyboards that has an Apple on it. Been there since the Apple IIe. Its like PC keyboards having the 'Window' key in the recent years (Freaking Biters!).

I absolutely HATE that stupid little windows key. In fact, I've deactivated mine. I curse it's existance every time I accidentally hit it instead of the ctrl or alt key I wanted.
