Having just read up on the news, I am happy to announce that women can now hold combat jobs in the Army and Marines. Therefore, I am postponing my retirement from the military. Only reason I joined the Navy was because I couldn't do anything anywhere else. So now, I get to do what I always wanted to do. Rangers lead the way!!!

Let's hope they don't relax their standards and allow any Jane, Lily or Harriet into the combat zone. It takes an exceptional female to stand up to the rigours of high-octane frontline battle. I know you can be that exceptional female, Em. Here's to a great and fulfilling further career. Good
