all a preference. anyone can clutter or not clutter their desktop in any OS. check myself and Rusty. then check Cherubino. nothin' wrong with a clutterered desktop, if that's how you operate... and don't try to tell me that a mac 'launcher' doesn't count as clutter. Razz
personally, I try to keep desktop icons down to one line on the side... and only stuff I use regularly goes there.

'Twas a joke Razz
But it seems that generally Linux/Mac desktops are less cluttered. Certainly for me, compare my Windows one to my Linux one. And I have twice as many icons now Muh-m-muhahahaha!
But yes, it is down to the individual...

On a side note, I have the Desktop Cube working now :O
Unfortunately, you can't launch/interact with apps whilst the cube is open, so I have yet to find a way to take a screenshot Sad

Did you open MS Paint and then use the Paste command? Hitting the PrintScreen button just loads a copy of the desktop image into a memory buffer. It doesn't create an actual image file like OS X does when you screen-capture something.

it was impossible in the first game, though you could do it with minimal loss of life.

in Invisible War, it was possible, but the endgame was incredibly difficult, since those power-armored troops couldn't be incapacitated in a nonlethal manner... just had to sneak around em.

Thank you very much I like my picture a lot too Very Happy
And you can't get the system info, temperature, RAM usage, etc. to show up by default on Windows. In order to do this I had to use this thing called HUD Desktop, and I found info on how to install it here. The reason why it's called swap is most likely because this was created by a Czech guy.

Very interesting style.
I might not be such a computer fanatic as Tommy, but this style of displaying system information is very organized.

It took me quite a while to figure out how to get it to work, it was a lot simpler than I thought it would be, lol. It was also the reason why I switched my laptop from Vista to XP (not that it won't work on Vista, it's just a bitch to it).

what if i made a really annoying animated wallpaper of that like really slowed down.

I would have the pencil just slowly turning maybe have some change to the trail behind it. and id have the two figures running. but really slow and id have to try to keep annoying bits out that would mess wiht my desktop.

I need sleep then ill think of this again and attempt

I have XKCD and Dilbert widgets! Though, that screenshot is a bit out of date, I've gotten rid of the Wolfram Alpha widget since then...

I would have the pencil just slowly turning maybe have some change to the trail behind it. and id have the two figures running. but really slow and id have to try to keep annoying bits out that would mess wiht my desktop.

Despite the awesomeness of Cassandra, I decided to switch to a more mellow, classy looking background. We'll see how long this one lasts, I tend to go through backgrounds like "tissues at a snot party."

(Bonus points to anyone who knows where that quote comes from Razz)

Well the only thing that it could get in the way of is the 3 icons i
keep in the top left corner...any maybe the sidebar(but even that i can
make be gone). Everything else i keep in the dock.

XD

Unfortunately, I don't. However, this reminds me of the time in the IT crowd where there was a small fire in the building. They put a monitor in front of it, and their boss mistook it for a screensaver Laughing
