Well, you already know my thoughts on some of these. I think the one of 'Etta standing in the snow is still my favourite.

Personally I'm looking forward to seeing/finding out more about this fan-fratello of yours. We do have an OC section you know.

As far as Elly and Pete go, I'm almost done the prologue cover image, and I've made a good copy of 1/8 comic pages. Once the cover is done, I'll post that along with the first panel.

It wont be on the same level as your J+M comics sadly, but I think I'll get there. Here's a test taste of the cover, if you're interested.

Looking pretty good there with that comic preview, actually  . Your artwork certainly will only get better with time and practice, so don't worry too much about that.

Thanks! here's hoping! Doing the whole comic thing has already gotten me drawing way more than before I started. Plus by friend bought me a sketchbook, which I was pretty jazzed about.

a rare pencil drawing.

I do like pencil. It just seems more responsive and interactive when drawing, somehow, and, when you look at someone else's work, it's easier to imagine just how he did it.

I agree so hard. It looks almost like a different person drew that, if you compare it to my digital doodles. 

I would use pencil so much more... but its very hard to correct mistakes

I definitely like the difference in texture and shading that drawing with pencil brings compared to a digital image. Indeed, I don't think it's any worse than your digital stuff, which you know I already like, and I have a slight preference for digital over pencil. Good work all around!

I should bring my sketchbook with me more often. My best digital drawings began life on paper. (i almost never sketch things out, I sorta just wing it digitally)

I take a sketchbook with me everywhere, that and backups of my stories on USB drive. Drawing onto paper is always nice, much more tactile than a tablet is. 95% of what I do starts life as a paper sketch, I find it much easier to get the bones of a thing out on paper and experiment than I do digitally (though digital is much better for tweaking and fine-tuning). That said, I've not touched a pencil since, well, probably since the J+M comic. All my sketching is done with pen these days.

Nice detail and shading, my man. Ellie's swimsuit sketch looks like you might have had a live model; like to have been a fly on the wall for that request...

Monty, hmm. She's not skinny enough, or as snappily dressed as usual, but you've got her attitude down perfectly.

Elly's been watching The Matrix I take it? I like the job you've done on the bloke in the very first picture as well, nicely aged.

TSM's already picked up most of what I could say about Monty... if it makes you feel any better, as much as I enjoy drawing her, she's also the character I find most difficult to get right. I presume that's Pete standing behind her, not Jethro this time?

Thanks! When I drew Monty, it was within the first week or so that I joined cyborg central. Thant's why I was off. If I were to redraw her today I would be closer to cannon. It Actually is Jethro standing behind her. Same excuse as Monty, I was a n00b.

Top grouping, second from right on top:

I think his lower body is a bit small comparatively to the rest of the body. They're a bit too short and thin. Something like hips and shoulders should be nearly same length atomically, shoulders slightly larger or something?

Other than that love it! How I've gone this long without noticing is...yeah. I have no idea...

thanks! I believe it depends on the build of the dude, but yeah, i messed up a bit. If i made this into a digital drawing then I'd fix that, but erasing pencil tends to ruin crap. At least the way I erase things.

That is some pretty damned good artwork, especially if with pencil you're not making too many corrections.

There's a lot wrong with the doodle; I'm very aware of that. But this was pen on an offering envelope, using my knee as a table.

Still a pretty good sketch regardless. I'm impressed.

I know I'm probably starting to sound like a broken record, but your expressions, pose, and anatomy are coming along in leaps and bounds with every drawing. Fantastic stuff... I'm also really liking these washed out, slightly (I don't want to say "off", because it gives the wrong impression) skewed colour pallets. It looks great.

Haha, and I'm glad you find her fun to draw, I know I do.

Glad you like it. I need to experiment more when it comes to the way I colour. 

Monty is one of those characters you look at and say, "Dang son, I wish I came up with that!". I know that's what I've been thinking.

That pic of Monty looks really nice, man! The slightly faded color palette and pencil-sketch shading technique (I don't know what it's actually called) helps a lot, but I think it's more the fact that you captured her attitude perfectly that really makes it work.

Same for your new picture of Elly, by the way.

I was at work waiting for the phone to ring for 4 hours, I don't think I would have done this under any other circumstance. Thanks a lot 

TSM - I wonder how much Michelangelo improved his art over the 10 years? How did he stay consistent? Crazy guy.
