Puella Magi and Witch forms

I've recently been seeing a very new anime called Puella Magi Madoka Magica.

For those who don't know it, it involves a pokemon-ish creature who grants one wish to girls who will, in return, become supernatural beings known as Magical Girls.

The enemies they fight are Witches, evil entities made up of past Magical Girls fallen to things such as despair and negative consequences of their wishes. These creatures attack people from the real world, giving them "Witch Kisses" that cause murders, accidents, and suicides.

Anyone else heard of it? If not, then I would think so since it came out this year in April.

It was pretty popular with a number of us.

I felt it started slow, but the last third was pretty epic.

Just began watching the anime and learning about it.

Even though that is so, I still once had an idea of doing a Witch form of a fictional character, whether it is anime or not.

Also, which of the Puella Magi is your favorite? Apparently when it comes to witches, many fans like Charlotte.

Charlotte is an abomination and should be blasted with extreme prejudice.

Just saying.

Which also gives you my tied-for-favorite Puella Magi. The other would be Homura.

You could kind of say that. She would actually be my favorite of the girls.

While posting this on the forum, I was wondering what cyborg girls (I mean in Gunslinger girl, not Magi Madoka) would be like as Witches.

Dude... the GSG girls are little angst powerhouses waiting to happen (well... maybe not Rico)...

Well, I did not mean the cyborgs themselves being Witches, but what their Witch forms would be like. All the Witches are made based on past and fallen Magical Girls, you know.

Right, and OC's point is that if the level of despair is a direct measure of how strong a witch will be, then the GsG's will be nigh unstoppable.

Am I the only one who wondered whether or not the witch that emerged on Walpurgis Nacht was in fact Homura?

.... Ooooh... hadn't even considered that, but you raise a nice point.... given her magic is time-based.... that might work.... a witch, emerging as a result of everything converging time and again on Walpurgisnacht....

That is true, too. But what I'm more interested in what they, their little labyrinths, and their minions would look like rather than how powerful they would be. For example with Henrietta, she commonly plays the violin so somethong like that could be part of her body or her minions. Since she has a close relationship to Jose, things resembling him could also be a major part of the minions. And by the fact she is a cyborg, her form or scene can be part mechanical.

It doesnt have to be the cyborgs either. FRF mebers such as Christiano and Flanca could be tough Witches too.

I actually had a fic idea related to this: Puella Magi Angelica Magica

On that night Angie is about to die, Kyubee shows up on Ange's deathbed and says


"You will die soon... but I can save you. If you wish to live, make a contract with me and become a magical girl."

Anyway, so Angie makes the contract and lives. The SWA personnel are a bit surprised by her miraculous recovery, but are like, "Fuck it, lets keep sending the little girl to into situations where she could get killed".

So, now Angelica has to sneak out of the SWA compound every so often and kill witches.

Also, at some point, I have to have her meet Homura, as geographically unlikely as it seems (Then again, I could just think of some excuse for her to use time manipulation to sneak on board a flight to Italy and fast-forward through the 12-hour flight!)

cool scenario, what i like particularly is angelica sneaking out of the compound every now and then with perhaps Triela figuring out what's going on or Angelica herself decides whom to share this with. also the fusion of magical and the technological could make her the uber girl, with both powers she might be nigh unstoppable! What if lorenze were to find out? Oh boy the tech crew would have a field day trying to figure out the source of her Powerrrr! Go Angelina Angelica, go!

Wonder who the Witches would be. Would they be the usual Witches such as Charlotte, Octavia, and Walpragis Nigh? Or would they be more original?

Given Italy's "old-world" flavor, I can see the witches being native to the land, so there would be a need to come up with original witches.

Or as I said one time, there could be Witches meade up of FRF members (Chrisitano, Franco and Flanca, etc.)

I couldnt find the image put I could see Pinochio's witch form looking like Shirou from Fate stay night when he had the swords sticking out of his arm.

Maybe he could be just minions being lead by a Witch from of Christiano (even though he is an adult male). Or maybe it could be the other way around with Pinnochio as the Witch and Christiano and "John Doe" as his minions.

Rather than it, yeah, it may look something like what you said.

Elsa could also be a very good Witch, too. Although she, like the other cyborgs girls if they were Witches, would be very problematic. And her handler, Bruno, could be her minions.

Also, I just realized that an excuse for Homu to show up in Italy in my fic is as simple as having Walpurgisnacht show up in Italy.

That little cat-thing creeps me the fuck out.

Just did some Witch forms of some of the cyborgs this weekend during the Anime Convention. Here are my concepts.



Hentrietta-
Artemis: The Violin Witch with a mechanical nature. She constantly bears her losses and plays her violin string in her barrier's space. She would anything to protect anything that remains worthy to her. If all is lost to her, she would destroy herself after killing those responsible.

Minion- Jose:
Minion with the task of playing. He has a great sympathy for the Witch and plays his violin support her. Both him and the Witch have a great bond together.

Triela-
The Bear Witch. She has a conscious nature and is the only bear to have such one in her barrier. She is treated as a princess and demands all the gifts she wants, but continously given bears by her minions. If you give her a much different present that she likes, she may consider you as a superior.

Minion:
The minion's job is devotion and giving. They are the guards to the Witch and would protect her with their lives. As a claimed superior to the Witch, he gives her as many presents as he could find to make her see him as a father. Unfortunately, his presents are always the same.


Angelica-
The Pasta Witch with a childish nature. Wants to be friendly with anyone that she comes across. Whenever she fails at something, she greatly tries to apoligize to her friends. She can create as much pasta as she wants and tries to share it with everyone. The only problem is that she has the only fork.

Minion:
His duty to eat pasta. He can not eat it without a fork so they try to search the barrier for one. Unless there are more forks than him, he would fight with even his own allies over it.
