Plus there might be added that she liked Jose more then Jean (as i remember she eve said it once to Jean), probably because Jean was in the military for longer time and they didn't see each other often (Even while Jose was also in military looks like he was visiting her more often than Jean)

Enrica also hated his fiancé at first, which likely didn't raise her brother's reputation in her eyes.

She wouldn't have liked anyone that either of her brothers brought home. She couldn't help resenting Sophia for the time she spent with him, time she felt belonged to her. She hated that her brother wouldn't make time for her, but was ready to spend the rest of his life with this woman and leave her forever. It was only when Sophia told her, "I didn't come to take him from you - I came to wait for him with you-" Meaning that Sophia intended. not to take Jean from his family, but to bring him closer to them - that Enrica came to accept and like the brash young Sicilian girl.
