Henrietta? Or maybe Beatrice? Can't be Elsa, right weapon but wrong hair colour, at least I'm pretty sure it's a SIG firearm, might be a Stoner.lyndist wrote:

I'm pretty sure that's Bea. Also, LOL at 'Stoner', considering how I think Bea's the way she is because she's zonked out on drugs.

*face palm* I didn't even realise the pun . BTW, does the Stoner have a number designation such as M16, or is it simply Stoner? Funny name for a gun though .Nachtsider wrote:I'm pretty sure that's Bea. Also, LOL at 'Stoner', considering how I think Bea's the way she is because she's zonked out on drugs.

Re: Girls with Guns
The only Stoner with an M-series designation I'm aware of is the Stoner 63, designated the M22. Stoner is the manufacturer name.
Bea's gun in the pic is almost certainly a SiG, btw.

Re: Girls with Guns
Yeah, alright. I just thought the Stoner becausethe magazine didn't look transparnet, I couldn't see the stock behind her arm so not to sure f it's skeleton or not, and the rear sight looks kinda big. My bad .Nachtsider wrote:The only Stoner with an M-series designation I'm aware of is the Stoner 63, designated the M22. Stoner is the manufacturer name.

Oh, and I wasn't taling about the M designation, I was talking about the 63 bit. I couldn't think of any other examples so I just stuck in the M16. I probably should have worded the question better.
The question still reamains, which SiG? Looks to long to be the 552, and too short to be the 550. ANd having a short muzzle, I'd say it's the 551 SWAT.

The hair color and facial structure is wrong for Beatrice and Henrietta. If it is Yu Aida, I believe it may be Lenie from Bittersweet Fools.

When was this picture taken? Depending on the year, I can see it causing a lot of negative feedback.

must of been before 1997 as thats the year Eugene Stoner died, when they met, Kalasnikov teased Stoner that his gun was better,Stoner replied
" I doubt you would have done so well with the weight limitations the pentagon gave me",
the original prototype weighed 5kg he was told to halve the weight

I doubt that the artist is used to be a member of VPA

Re: Girls with Guns
In my B&B stories the girls have dress uniforms, and many people have asked me what they might look like. I had a few vague ideas bouncing around in my head but nothing specific. When I saw this picture it really jumped out and grabbed me. I can definitely see this as being exactly what they wear. Just add the various decorations each of them has earned, and it pretty much spot on. And for those of you unfamiliar with my story, a black beret signifies a girls ‘senior’ status.lyndist wrote:

When the sequins will stop the 'moving bits' form, you know, moving, then there's a problem. As far as I can tell, that thing's stuck on auto (unless I have my gun parts mixed up). I have no quarrel with personalized weapons, as long as it doens't cause any problems with the weapon and isn't a penis extension such as gold plating.-ACHTUNG- wrote:tremec6speed wrote:dittoDestroyer of Worlds ;D wrote:I do. The gun is on safe. You can very easily plop the lever down, removing a few sequins but thats not much of a problem, Theyre not that expensive.

For starters, the CM901 has the wrong magazine, I've only ever seen it with those plastic checker patern magazines, and the muzzle is too short for that langh of barrel. The LMG's drum is too shallow. The muzzle break on the AS50 is at the wrong angle. The G36c's barrel (the plastic part anyway) is too long, and there's no tactical rail upon which she has attached that vertical foregrip. And finaly, there's a Suicide Shrub (what Yatzi from Zero Punctuation calls Creepers) form Minecraft on the left hand side.Awinnell wrote:

At the risk of sounding like a snob and a /k/ommando...
Actually, some of those 'inaccuracies' are themselves inaccurate.
For starters, this was likely drawn before the CM901 ever came out. That AR-pattern carbine is actually a Heckler & Koch HK416 carbine with a 10.5-inch upper receiver. a CM901 has a more angular magazine well compared to the 416 you see in the picture. Also, the artist drew in the Pictogram-based fire selector (too small to see, but the colors of the selector positions of White-Safe, Red-Semi, and Red-Auto give it away) found on most H&K products. The front and rear sights (not drawn to scale) are also typical H&K diopter drum rear sights with a shrouded front post sight. It does, however, lack the white text markings on the right side of the gun, instead featuring a blank space where the text should be on the magazine well.
Secondly, the G36C actually DOES have a standard 20mm Picatinny rail where that foregrip is going. In fact, it should have at least two more:
Finally, the LMG is an M249 SAW. The heat shield is characteristic of the M249, as is the green plastic box magazine. It does, however, lack a bipod.
As for the remaining inaccuracies, they can be just chalked up to the artist's drawing style. As long as we get the gist of what they're carrying, the Artist's work is done.

That was a sucker punch to the ol' ego. Ah well, my head needed deflating anyway, and hey, I learnt something .MP5 wrote:Destroyer of Worlds ;D wrote:For starters, the CM901 has the wrong magazine, I've only ever seen it with those plastic checker patern magazines, and the muzzle is too short for that langh of barrel.

If you want I can critsise and be pretensious towards other images and thier not-perfectness. But that would also be rude. (I'm still plyable to peer pressure)

I know it's probably a little late to discauss this ine, being from two years ago, but I recently cropped it a little for my desktop background for lappy, and every time I see it, i wonder "what nationality is that lass?". Now the question is burned into my mind and I cannot get it out! It's driving me insane!Robert Frazer wrote:

So, I did some research, and found out that Germany and Russia were the only countries to have women in a position where they could be sent into the field (not including counrties with resistance movements). I believe that the smoking tank is a T-34, which is Russian. The other that is not smoking however, I have no idea. And the tank she is riding, is not visible. All we can really tell from looking at the tanks is that it was a battle in which Russia was involved. Now, I know the women were in the Nazi SS, and that they were sent to the front sometimes. I also know that Russia's supply lines in WWII weren't that great, with some soldiers gettign ONE bullet a day, so that might explain why she is dressed in casual clothing instead of a uniform. But now we come to her hat. What army does it belong too, since for it to be SS, it would have to black.
This all points towards her being Rissian, but I don't want to rule out German since I have been the only one to apraise this and I would liek a second opinion that may spot something I missed.

I just exploded when I saw that... and exploded a second time when I read that. The knocked out tank isnt a T-34... its not even Russian, and the countryside doesnt suggest anywhere near anything Russian. In fact the knocked out tank isnt even a tank, It is the 3 inch Gun Motor Carriage M10 Manufactured in Detroit
Now the Tank in the mid-ground is a Panzerkampfwagen VI Ausf. B with an early production Krupp Turret (more commonly known as the "Porsche" turret) of which only 10 were produced, one of which survived the war and now resides in the Bovington Tank museum. And that makes it insanely rare.
Now as for Her tank. I dont know why you would say that it isnt visible. Clearly you can see the hatch ring and the view blocks. And by the arrangement of said view blocks, the tank can be identified as exactly the same model as what was described, a King Tiger.
Now as for her. Her (yes she has worn a brown vest over it for some reason) grey uniform suggest that she is actually part of a regular Armored division. Had her uniform been full brown, then she would be with an Artillery regiment.
Why I know all this without prior research bothers me tho :X
And sorry for your Ego again. MP5 has already assaulted it 2 days ago, now here I go doing the same.

Don't worry about my ego, I did ask for pople opinions after all. And besides, what doesn't kill me makes me stronger, like theis cruel battery of my ego . Seriously, it's all good, I know I'm not all knowing, so it's good for people to correct me if I'm wrong rather than let me live on with the illusion of knowing what I'm on about.-ACHTUNG- wrote:Destroyer of Worlds ;D wrote:I know it's probably a little late to discauss this ine, being from two years ago, but I recently cropped it a little for my desktop background for lappy, and every time I see it, i wonder "what nationality is that lass?". "You knever learn anything if you dont make mistakes" - My Bio teacher, she is a very wise woman indeed.
So I guess from this we can deduce that she is German, since she's riding a tiger. Now for another question, where is this battle field? So it's a battle that involved Germans and Americans (or British if they used the Detroit tank), and had a lot of wild grass or wheat around... and that's where my knowledge of the situation stops. I know a bit about WWII ordinance, but not as much the battles .

The writing says 'враг будет разбит'. 'The enemy will be divided'. A Soviet WWII slogan.
