Partner in life
This is a random-random question...
lets talk about love, shall we?
How has your opposite sex partner influence your life?
In my case, she has driven me out of my hiki-state for God-knows-how-long and eventually stop me entirely from watching porn ever again...or else she'll leave me
What do I feel about it?
I feel twice much-much better than my old self.
How do you met?
classified (I've told some...selects)

It's cool that you guys have relationships. ^_^ Me, well... I've never even had my first kiss, nor have I ever been on a date. *sigh* The price I pay for being shy. I can't ever talk to cute guys I see. ;_;

Well yeah same with me. Since I'm only 17 I see being in a relationship with someone is pointless. There are other things I want more in my life right now and having a boyfriend would consume a lot of my time. I can't afford to have a boyfriend either my art work, friends, and even things like playing video games are more important to me right now. Besides, even if I wanted a boyfriend no one would be interested in me.

Just keep one thing in mind. 90% of 'em (possibly more) will only want one thing... they'll lie, manipulate, cheat and steal to try to get it. Keep in mind that thing that Dr. Cox said about 'feeling a little down about yourself' in that last vid I posted. 'tis an age-old male tactic. I've used it more than once myself...

Me and my significant other have kind of been getting on each others nerves lately. We’ve broken up and gotten back together twice already, and I’ve decided if we split again, it’ll be for good. But we’ll see.

Re: Partner in life
Of the ... *counts on fingers*... yeah, of the 3 girlfriends I've had, all 3 of them are my best friends, even to this day... just minus the kissing... and the sex...
Anyways, being in a relationship, while not very important, is one of the most rewarding experiences in life (ONE of them...). While there can be rough times, the good times always outshine them... and if you've been having a bad time with your significant other for more than 3 months... it's time to get-a-movin'.
Neighbor lady is a nice girl, but she and I don't feel like we're at a stage where we can claim each other as boyfriend or girlfriend... to be blunt, we're "fuck buddies". BUT, that doesn't rule out anything for the future. We've both got school in the way (the very thing that ended my last two relationships) so we don't want to rush anything yet.
Also, @LoC: If the pills are there... then what is the point of a condom?
On the other spectrum of things: Breaking up will feel like the end of the world to you, even if you were the one who wanted the relationship to end. It's terrible when you tell a person you don't love them anymore... but the sun will always rise, and you'll eventually get back up.

I couldn't agree more on this
There's this sense of belonging that sticks with you whenever you spend time with someone you care for. An attachment, so to speak, but more correctly the feeling of being wanted and/or needed. ^^
as for pointless relationships its been fun just dont get her pregnant or your future is screwed
Easy. Just don't have sex unless you're married.
90% of 'em (possibly more) will only want one thing...
they'll lie, manipulate, cheat and steal to try to get it. Keep in mind
that thing that Dr. Cox said about 'feeling a little down about
yourself' in that last vid I posted. 'tis an age-old male tactic
...and that 90% of them are those you wish to avoid. Good guys are hard to find, so if you find one don't let them go! ^_^
OK, I've explained how I met mine...how do you guys met yours? Or how you wish you met yours :p

Re: Partner in life
My wife and I knew each other but passingly when we were young children. I was sixteen and she was fourteen when we struck up a proper friendship. The chemistry was instantaneous - she and I shared the same likes and dislikes, hopes and dreams, and complimented each other perfectly (still do).
I have never found a more loyal, virtuous or devoted companion, and definitely never will; the same applies to me in her eyes. Numerous demons of the past had haunted us prior to our bond being forged; the progressing of our friendship saw these unwelcome phantoms exorcized for good.
We were in love in a little under two years, and, despite all efforts from various petty, prejudiced and downright nasty parties to seperate us, stuck together like glue, and were married as soon as she turned legal. The ecstatic life we have since led together has blessed us with two wonderful children, and we blissfully look forward to the golden tomorrows that this existence will deliver.
All has never been better with the world.

Very true.
The only photo I have of my wife, is the one of our wedding ceremony in Japan.
As you well know, Sora hates having her picture taken. then again, I dont need a photo to love her, the genuine article is all I need.

Re: Partner in life
Actually, anybody anywhere in the world can opt for what my wife and I did. You don't necessarily have to hold a ceremony to be wed - the legal requirement (liscence, etc) is all that's truly compulsary. And we're from the East, not the West.
My mother's dead ten-plus years and I haven't seen anything of my father since he remarried and left. My wife's parents did not approve of our friendship, and they've pretty much disowned her since she moved in with me. Don't pity us, though - our relationships with our parents were not what you could call healthy. And don't go thinking it was our fault that the parent-child bonds ended up that way, either. But it's a long and sordid story, and may not be worth telling here.
And naw, no pics of the kiddies. Not just yet, anyway.

no worries. Love can conquer all........ what kind of quote is that? lol.
but that's lucky for you. Well, i hope that you can cope with both of your parent sooner or later. No pity, because you're happy. what should be pity from another people happiness?
Parent child bonds never end, so just wait for the right time. lol. and because you experience it in a 'not so good' way, you'll surely be able to prevent the same thing happen to your child.
i'm praying for your success in raising them good.
and, of course, we're waiting for the picture. lol

Wow. So many of you guys are married already. And you're all fairly young. Thats interesting. I've only met one couple who is my age and engaged. I don't think they're gonna follow through but that's just because they're rabbits xD.
Anyway, I am one of those people who has had relationships but the well seems to be dry lately. I haven't found a good man in a LONG time. And honestly, you're all men here, what's up with that?
I mean you all hardly know me but, tell me, what turns a man away from a gal huh? Be a pal. Tell you're little Cherubino

no two men, just like no two women, are exactly alike.
what turns one man away from you may attract another.
but in general, according to stereotypes and minor hormonal predispositions...
excessive talk about vague emotions, wanting to rush into a commitment without actually getting to know each other, obsessing over clothing, not allowing him to have any alone time (or, alternately, time with old friends)... and generally attempting to control or change him.
As Albert Einstein once said:
“Women marry men hoping they will change. Men marry women hoping they will not. So each is inevitably disappointed.”
-not that there aren't exceptions to the rule... they're just rare.

But stereotypically, what turns a man away from the other type of girl. The loose girl who is not into changing him or into serious stuff? Why do they avoid girls like that? (Again I know that everyone's different. I'm just wondering.)LoC978 wrote:no two men, just like no two women, are exactly alike.

I also have another query about siblings and their reactions to relationships.
It is a well known fact that almost every dude in High School wants to screw every gal he meets. Now knowing that these guys do anything to sleep with these girls, exploit them then leave them, why is it that when they're sisters become high school age they suddenly get defensive of their sisters? And why do they take it out on their sisters by threatening their boyfriends? How can they, with clear conscience, continue to do this to other girls knowing that other guys are doing that to their sister? Don't they stop and think about it now that it is happening to their sister?

Well I was either on the other side of the country or the Pacific when my sisters were in high school, so I didn't terrorize their boyfriends.
On the plus side, they both ended up marrying great guys, so maybe that was a good thing...

Re: Partner in life
What turns men away from loose women? Social programming (the sex=evil religious thing), STD scares, co-dependence (guys who are convinced they'll find 'the one' if they keep lookin'... that's a big one, and another form of social programming), the stigma of being seen as a whoremonger... I'm sure there are more reasons.
As for high school guys protecting little sisters... it kinda reminds me of a guy I worked with in Germany. He was married at age 19, but he couldn't be bothered to do the paperwork for command sponsorship to bring his wife over... so he started sleeping with a war widow.
When I asked him what his wife would think, he just said "Nobody better fuckin' tell her. I'll kill 'im." When I asked what's stopping his wife from doing the same thing: "She better not, I'd fuckin' kill her."
In short, ego and hypocrisy. Not every man possesses them to that degree, but we're all egotistical hypocrites in one way or another... or several ways...

Re: Partner in life
Hmm... I suppose your right. Be either way no one wins. I don't understand why people are so inward about their emotions. I am a forward kinda gal. I know that turns guys away from me. I often tell guys how I feel about them. I think guys expect girls to be secretive and shy about their true feelings...LoC978 wrote:What turns men away from loose women? Social programming (the sex=evil religious thing), STD scares, co-dependence (guys who are convinced they'll find 'the one' if they keep lookin'... that's a big one, and another form of social programming), the stigma of being seen as a whoremonger... I'm sure there are more reasons.

I prefer honesty (brutal honesty is my style), though I'm definitely in the minority on that one.

*sigh* I normally am reprimanded for my blunt nature. Who wants to hear lies when they know the truth?

Maybe not brutal honesty, but honesty to be sure. I'm honest with them, so I would like to be treated the same in return.

Re: Partner in life
the dreaded question ! "Does my bum look big in this ?" two answers can be used
1 no dear it looks good on you ! (extra brownie points for that one),though she will say "you're just saying that "
2 Being carefull say something along the lines of , " it seems to have shrunk in the wash " followed by the suggestion she should replace it with a new one
and finally the truth which should never be used if you want to continue a peacefull life
3 "No dear its your ass that makes it look big ! "
