Comedian Robin Williams is dead.

If you have not heard the news, Robin Williams is dead from an apparent  suicide. He was battling depression at the time.

sad, but I'm not too surprised. The funny ones are usually the gloomy ones once they get off the set.

This reminds me a lot of when Benny Hill died.  He wasn't a suicide but he too was extremely depressed and lonely off-camera.

I guess it's harder than it looks to be in the camera eye your whole life. I'm still feeling gloomy that such a funny happy guy took his life.

But just like Kurt Cobain, he preferred to burn out rather than fade away. He will be remembered.

It's really sad

a lot of comedians seem to be manic depressives, and the depressions sometimes wins

we will miss him... a part of our childhood... as the guy that "invented Flubber"... and also as a Genie... and being Mrs Doubtfire....
