What are you happy about right now?

Right now, I'm happy / anxious about my Senior Portfolio Presentations tomorrow at school. Basically, I have to gather four assignments that best show my academic prowess, and explain how I achieved what I did on them, and how they will help me later on.

It should go fine. Then, it's smooth sails and happy trails til Jackson comes around.

It's been just under a month since I'd withdrawn from uni, but after much hunting I finally start work on Tuesday and I'm taking a business and management. I can finally spend money again! I'm gonna buy so many books. 

I feel compelled to ask if you have a cast iron pot. Because quite seriously, if you don't, buy one, because you will never need another cooking vessel.

Well! That went surprisingly well. I was a little shaky, mainly because I was first, but I did amazing!

SO finally got this all cleaned up and added the bookshelf. so much better than stuff layinga round...it makes me happy.

Well.....Its summer and America where I live. So I bought a minibike frame off of craigslist and built this. I threw a 212 cc predator engine (I chose between a briggs flattop 5hp and a honda5 hp and the predator) into it and changed the gearing to get it going 45 mph. It was at that point that I finally thought about what would happen if I blew a tire? Looks like this summer. Its ride or die. (or maybe ride and die) I ride it mostly on pavement. I love riding to this rich neighborhood nearby there are mansions that I could never have imagined being there and the roads in there are deserted and curvy. Wish I lived near a beach but I'm landlocked this thing would be awesome to ride to the beach  on a hot day and whip shittys in the sand (however minibikes and a lack of clothing are a bad combination) 


Before I built the bike I started with these fold up scooters. One was out of a barn for 40 bucks with an out of spec engine but still had compression I estimate it at maybe 12 years old minimum very well used and farm fresh. The other scooter I got for free. I did the small engine voodoo that I do and shortly after had 2 great running machines. Tanaka engines; The Japanese sure make a engine the Farm sccoter was 12 years old and the piston and cylinder are still perfect but the rings were worn.
I sold the more new scooter and I kept the badass farm scooter for my sister and left the frame, which had been spray painted silver sloppily at one time, as I thought the rattyness was cool. I also added a seat so my younger sister can ride it safely. I actually upgraded the engine on it so it can go over 20mph with only a 26cc engine!

Did relatively nothing in school today. We have like 4 days left, so our teachers let us do whatever, hence forum posting in multiple classes instead of just checking forums in Study Hall. May have just pulled in a friend on GSG, I've been getting him into anime  here's hoping. He also likes forums a bit, so if he enjoys I'll pull him on here.

Also caught up on some sleep in other classes. It was wonderful.

Gotz a job working for a family friend. House-sitting for about 5-6 days for $30 a day. I make out with roughly $150 and maybe some extra if I do some barn work

Joined the Lotus mob again for another early start: breakfast, morning tea and lunch up through the Sunshine Coast hinterland. Well, there was a certain amount of "time" involved too as, though I'm relatively familiar with the road, I had no idea where to find the cafe everyone was pointed at, so I needed to catch them before they reached Mt. Mee (about 15-20 clicks up the road)... though having something to chase is half the fun. Nice thing about the Alfa though is, because it's an old, physical, noisy, though not particularly powerful car, wearing consumer-grade rubber, you don't have to go super fast in order to feel utterly heroic.

Either way, by the time I caught the group again, as far as I was concerned the year was 1955, and my name was Stirling.

Finally, after a month of waiting...

Fixed internet lines are installed in my home... so now there's no complaint or lamentation from me about slow or retard lag internet connection

So, the towel fix didn't work on my 360. So i was going to mix parts with another "parts-box" that quit on me. That RRoD on me....

So time to permenantly fix both...

I was at AnimeExpo for the past few days and had a blast. I haven't had a good con experience like that since I first went to my first con almost 10 years ago.

Though I do wish I wasn't so damn shy when it came to mingling.

While having lunch in the Concorde Lounge at LHR today, I saw that Emirates Airlines firmed their 150-frame 777X order from last November, worth $56 billion at list prices. As this may be the next program I work on (kind of had enough of the 787 after a decade), glad to see the program continue to gain momentum.

And before I left for London last night, Air New Zealand threw us a nice delivery party for their first 787-9 at the Museum of Future Flight across the runway from the factory up in Everett.
