Welcome to the GSG club! The story may be coming to an end, but we are all geared up for plenty of discussions and tales of our own!

We won't let that stop us! On FanFiction.Net, there are plenty of stories based on series that have finished. Why should we be any different?

(Well, one or more readers may be demoralized because the creator seems to be ending the story simply because he's tired of it, and the ending is seemingly out-of-character for the tone of the series in this reader's eyes.)

Well, it wouldn't be the first time a manga series has ended somewhat... abruptly. That said, I can't blame Yu for wanting to try something different. He's been at GSG for over a decade now. I know when I was doing the comic there were times all I wanted was to get the damn chapter out. I imagine that feeling only gets worse the longer you've been at it.

Even though I can't argue with Alfisti's logic, I do feel sad that Mr.Aida might be tired of his great story....

Same here, but it's also sad to watch a creator be forced to write something no longer his (or her) passion. Asimov had something similar with his Foundation series - the initial anthology was so successful, his publisher sent him an advance and, after he cashed it, hinted strongly that he needed to write another Foundation book. Though others may differ, I feel the subsequent ones in the series suffered as a result.

Amen. It's been awhile since I read it, but the series definately seemed to loose focus after Second Foundation.
