Re: World Witches-Witches in Africa
Did Hanna appear in the anime? After reading this strip, she definitely needs to if she hasn't already. Also, that Witch with the Lockheed Lightning striker is great, even though she's a photo-recon.
I swear, whoever the narrator of the text story is, she sounds like she wants to go to bed with Hanna. So ronery.

Ah, right. I haven't seen the second season yet. How was she like, personality-wise?

Re: World Witches-Witches in Africa
As for the one who's perspective were reading the story from. Its Katou Keiko, Their Captain.
The last bits of each Volume has a bit of a diary style story told by Keiko, sadly I was unable to find translated versions of it apart from the first one, And all the other scans I have from "Tiger in Desert part. 2" onwards doesnt even include them.
And as for Hannah's personality, just wait till I upload all the bits.
Anyways I updated.

Re: World Witches-Witches in Africa
i don't want to reveal to much as that would ruin it, but sufice to say that Hanna is annoyed with Erica's attitude somewhat and Barkhorn and Hanna can not stand each other.

Err... do you mean Barkhorn?
Anyways... for some odd reason, Page 13 and 31 of Tiger in Deser part. 1 is all pixelated and horrible when they show up on the forums...

Well then.
- Spoiler:
Hanna is pretensious snot but has the skill to back up her boasts and is quite famous. She gets assigned to do a joint mission with the 501st to take out a Neuroi base on Malta. Lynette, and Yoshika think she is cool since she jumps out of a plane from several hundred feet up and lands with no parachute or striker unit. Hana wants to settle an older score with Erica since they tied in their last match. Oh needless to say Erica refuses while Hana tries to compete with everyone in the 501st leading to a rather amusing breast size competition between Hana, and shirely with lucini as the judge. Barkhorn and Hana fight out in the mission briefing while Mio and Minna role their eyes at the mess. You also get to see a ticked off Erica when hanna makes fun of barkhorns over her little sister. The mission goes off with Erica and Hana taking otu the core then having a final dog fight ending in a tie- very cool scene by the way.

Re: World Witches-Witches in Africa
I finished reading up to Witches of Sphinx Pt. 1 (or you could say I've read them since that's all it goes up to thus far), and I kinda like this group of Witches a lot more than the 501st. Especiall the Land Strikers, they rock, and especially, especially the Tiger Heavy Tank. That thing is just... just... (my mind was blown). I cried at the end of Witches of Sphinx Pt. 1 becuase of the 'To Be Continued'. Can't wait for the next instalment. Keep it up, man .

Well, I think my interest in her is dwindling.
The North Africa stories are not bad, pedophilic undertones aside. Dat Tiger unit.
Also, is it me, or are male characters in SW an absolute joke? Every time a male character appears, he's either a fawning fan, an asshole or a wuss. It's infuriating.

Wait a bit later coz the males in The North African Campaign are actually quite cool. Especially those three generals

Re: World Witches-Witches in Africa
I dunno, considering the fact that the people saving humanity are hot, teenage girls, and a lot of soldiers are probably pretty young, the fawning makes sense. Except for Patton, he's just... um... I'd better not say anything bad about Patton, he's a pretty cool bloke in my book. I read one of his speaches and this line really stood out to me:Nachtsider wrote:> pretentious snotcrazyidiot78 wrote:Well then.

Re: World Witches-Witches in Africa
Patton doesn't really count here, because he's little more than an extra in the story. A background character. We won't see him engaging the enemy or anything like that, I'm betting; the most we'll see him do is act gritty and say inspirational quotes.
Either give us some good male characters or don't focus on the men at all.

Seeing as how women only keep us around to open jars, and the Witches a quite capable of opening thier own jars, the male populace isn't gonna get a big role here. At least that's my opinion.Nachtsider wrote:Patton doesn't really count here, because he's little more than an extra in the story. A background character.
