Well, this isn't so much in relation to my GSG fanfic characters, but as far as the characters of my actual novel project goes, this song pretty much epitomizes the relationship between Alex and Reaper.
To understand their background a little: Reaper is an ascended demon and has established himself as the patron God and master over all of Hell. Alex is an ascended warrior-deity who has made it his life's mission to hunt down and kill Reaper whatever it takes, as he blames himself for releasing Reaper onto Creation. Unfortunately for Alex, and despite his best efforts, Reaper always manages to stay just one step ahead.
