I have not been the ChinaTown Arcade since I was dating Jeanie... a very long time agoi in a high school far away...!

For some reasons the books there are dreadfully expensive at the conventions but the Macross CD I bought was around the normal price I'd expect to pay online.

I'm available most days. Monday I have evening summer classes and Saturday I have morning summer classes for college until the end of July. For the rest of the day is free.

Yeah, I know. Heck just a weekend to Iceland will cost me over 400 euro's. That's what I roughly make in a month mind you.

But even if you were to come to Holland there Voodoo, I gotta tell you that the only airport is about 150+ Kilometers (that's 93 miles) away from where I live. A Train ride would take you two hours.

Holland sounds like fun I can visit my cousin while I am out there. Plane ticket would be expensive though but it would be a fun time. Maybe go to some of the bars shown on Three sheets

I know there has been discussion on this particular thread and a lot of interest in having some sort of meet and greet. How does everyone feel to having one Sunday June 6th in New York City. We can meet at penn station in the morning say 9-10am and then go from there. I'll leave the specifics to some one who knows more about the city than I do.

Triela from what I can gather at the moment it appears that the only ones interested are myself, you, and elfen. I think we should wait until after the holiday before making a final call on whether to cancel it or not. I think we may get some more after the long weekend.

You know, in Manhattan you could probably do that and people would not even consider it odd. I'd leave the P90 at home though.

I'm going to be going to Japan next summer (so that'll be in 2011), I'll try to get a more precise date when the trip nears. If anyone wants to go there around the same time, that'd be cool.

As for locations, I'm likely going to be visiting two cities in particular (Kobe being one of them), for... rather geeky reasons.

Heh - I thought you'd all be out meeting up and soaking up that New York vibe but I guess not? I just got back from Sardinia which is (kinda) GunslingerGirl territory. Didn't see no Padania terrorists while I was there but then I'm not an Allessandro to pick people out of a crowd like that. Besides I was on a beach and no-one was wearing much of anything as best I could tell. Very Happy

It would be cool if there were some GSG Figma characters I think. Next time I go I could take them "home" for a visit Smile

Where did you stay/travel to/visit in Sardinia? I was there for about 2 weeks on a training deployment at the Decimomannu air base (that's down south near Cagliari). It was a fun place, lots of good outdoor bars at the beach, most with live bands every night.

We were staying in Porto Alabe which is a few miles south of Bosa in the northern part of the island. Porto Alabe is - especially out of season (which we were) - a quiet place. The sea is beautiful however with nice beaches, good places to swim, a nice bit of coastline to walk along leading to a ruined tower and some WWII fortifications and we had a big apartment right on the beach which is always nice.

This is the third time we've been there and this year there were 18 of us - a sizeable family gathering. The Italians respect that - they're big on family Smile

Okay...I'm finally in New York...I was really hoping it would be cooler here.

My first week is going to be a mad rush of family commitments, but after the 15th the schedule opens up so I'm game.

Triela seems to be in Florida for a convention, and she seemed eager to be included in this...we might want to wait until she returns because she does seem crazy enough to do us physical harm if we forget her.
