What's on your cyborg's iPod?
Just as the subject stated, what's rotating on the shuffle list of your OC's MP3 player of choice. Try to keep the limit to 10, that way if people want to browse youtube for other people's lists it's a bit easier.
Laine is listening to:
The Great Escape - Boys Like Girls
Electropop - Jupiter Rising
Getting Away With Murder - Papa Roach
Mad - Ne-Yo
Beat It (Cover) - Fall Out Boy
End of the Moonlight - DJMAX
Numb/Encore - Linkin Park feat. Jay Z
Face Down - Red Jumpsuit Apparatus
Fly Me to the Moon - Frank Sinatra
What You Got feat. Akon - Colby O'Donis
There is no pattern in those songs whatsoever, lol.

Well Kara still has to wait about a year for her iPhone, but she does have a 4GB Nano. She'd have a shedload of playlists with J-pop, Touhou, Anime, Jazz, Electronic, House, Dance, etc.

Re: What's on your cyborg's iPod?
Not sure what Daniella would have on her Ipod, but my non-cyborg O.C., David Wilson would probably listen to various heavy metal bands. I was planning on having him run down enemy forces in a tank (with a lot of help from his new cyborg friend) in my now-dormant fic while listening to this:
A short first draft of the scene mentioned above:
Daniella looked down the sight of the 120mm main gun of the Ariete main battle tank. "Parked IVECO Dardo Infantry Fighting Vehicle, Padanian-mutineer markings, hasn't spotted us yet". David just barely heard Daniella say over the sound of his Ipod, blaring "Panzer Battalion" by the Swedish power metal band Sabaton. Daniella sighted in the target as she pulled one of the earbuds from David's Ipod. "Wanna take the shot? Just pull the trigger, i've got it sighted in.", Dani asked. "Sounds fun!", David exclaimed. David placed his hand over the trigger as he looked down the sight. The Ipod earbud still in his left ear blared:
"Armored tanks of mass destruction
Killers in the east.
Rats who dare to stand before us
Feel our guns go..."
David squeezed the trigger. A deafening roar drowned out even the sound of his the song as the gun fired. Through the scope of the main gun, David saw the enemy IFV explode in a ball of flames.

Re: What's on your cyborg's iPod?
Well, seeing as Monty seems to live in a sort of semi-permanent timewarp, we'll start with the obvious:
There's a little Jeff Beck
And some Beatles (everybody's got something to hide, 'cept for me and my... handler? )
With the Small Faces to keep the company
Taking it down a notch are the Seekers.
They make good cruising music along with Creedence Clearwater Revival and Santana (for the hot times... somehow you can just tell that's Woodstock, look for the naked bloke holding a goat).
Speaking of hot weather it wouldn't be Monty without a Bond reference
From the modern era come Air (which would also be good cruising music... if it didn't make you want to just chillax and forget whatever important thing it was you were supposed to be doing... like driving), Chris Joss (sort of modern, I swear he still lives in the same timewarp as Monty) and some Dimitri From Paris
There is of course a whole lot more, but you get the gist... long road journies are long and anyone who says "all I need is the sound of the engine" has obviously never been stuck on the same highway for ten hours solid.
I guess she could probably use some action music too... so I'll leave you with this. Can't find a youtube link of that, so you'll just have to watch the vid (which is kinda worth it anyway) ;P

Re: What's on your cyborg's iPod?
It might not be very refined and ladylike - more insane, bouncing hyperactive kid than measured carriage and dignified comportment - but Agapita has an affection for the bubblegum dance (maybe it's some of Mimi's free-spirited nature that the conditioning and mind-wipe didn't entirely smother) of Jenny Rom - who's Italian, even if she sings in English.
Avise finds it vaguely unseemly (and he feels a bit irked that his cyborg likes to dance to the sugar-rush beat, but seems to hate exertion in all other areas, particularly his PT sessions) but ultimately shrugs his shoulders and says "Well, if it's what the young'uns like nowadays..."
Trouble is, she's set The Game of Love as her mobile ringtone, which makes it a pain for anyone trying to summon her from the dormitories because she tends to spend half a minute bopping along to the music before actually deigning to answer (and it's driving her room-mate to distraction).

Britney has always gravitated to California Indie rock.
And if she ever found out I said this she’d kill me… but she’s also a closet Fleetwood Mac fan.

Britney doesn't strike me as one who would either break The Chain or stop thinking about tomorrow.
Kara likes Fleetwood Mac when the weather is nice and the convertible top on the Gallardo is down.

Re: What's on your cyborg's iPod?
The music player idea is a device/joke I've written into an upcoming story. Elio gives Marisa an mp3 player so she can be more educated on modern music, "What the kids are listening to these days" so to speak.
Hillshire confiscates it (she's listening to it in his language class) and points out to Elio that it's full of American Delta Blues and British guitar rock from the '70's. Instead of studying what other kids listen to, Marisa is just emulating what her handler likes.

Marisa could have been grooving to German opera and the result would have been the same...you do not listen to your mp3 player in Mr. Hillshire's class!
As for Elio's choice in music...I just chose what I dig. Elio was hoping his cyborg would get familiar with modern teenager music, but he doesn't check up on what she's really doing, and is thusly embarassed when Hillshire returns the device to him.
From the look of it she needs to spend some time hanging out with Agapitha...

I'm no expert at such things, but in order to dance to a song like that you'd need to be some kind of high speed super-human cyborg or something...oh, wait, now it makes sense.

Re: What's on your cyborg's iPod?
Jacob's a fan mostly of classic hard-rock, so if he were to ever pick himself up an MP3 player, it would be loaded up with a lot of ACDC, KISS, Nazareth and the like. As for Melanie, she's developing a rather strong affinity for DnB electronica, speed and power metal, and basically anything with a hard, fast rhythm that gets the blood pumping while she's working on her martial-arts training. She also has a guilty pleasure of enjoying the occasional J-Pop tune, but would be absolutely mortified if anyone where to ever find her indulging.

Well, since Allison has a diverse (or so I like to think) taste in music, I can't fit too much on here, so here's a selection:
Queen- Don't Stop Me Now
Deep Purple- Highway Star
Motley Crüe- Kickstart My Heart
M.O.V.E- Gamble Rumble (Yup, even Allison isn't immune to Eurobeat music. However it is Initial D, so...)
Juno Reactor- Mona Lisa Overdrive
Daft Punk- Harder Better Faster Stronger
Jay-Z-- 99 Problems
Van Halen- Panama
Johnny Cash- I Walk The Line

Not so much on her iPod as part of her handler's repertoir...

Jethro: *takes his cyborg under an arm and, throwing the other wide...*
Monty:

Well, Jethro's no Sinatra and certainly doesn't challenge Avise for pure operatic ability... however he's at worst pleasant to listen to: pleasant enough at least that Monty's annoyance is not so much a result of him grating on her hearing as from just plain old embarrasment (particularly if he's decided to sing something even vaguely romantic to wind her up). However, in the same manner that you'd never admit your father was a good singer, she finds it easier to blame poor vocal talent.Professor Voodoo wrote:Does that imply that Mr. Blacker has at least a reasonable singing voice?Alfisti wrote:It's night, Jethro and Monty are walking along the Monaco waterfront toward the Casio.

Jethro's repertoir extends to 1960s pop, croon, jazz and swing, anything remotely Rat Pack, British Patriotic (see: "Jerusalem") and West End musicals.

A song written by Jay Kay as a tribute to his personal Ferrari Enzo? Kara might not have heard of it, but you know Allison and her band will have covered in a jam session, much less merely load it onto her iPhone:

Re: What's on your cyborg's iPod?
Never thought about which Music 'little miss strange' Emilie would like but fortunately the actual developing of the story showed me a direction.
Emi likes the gothic to gothic-rock music genre, but with little tendencies to dark wave as well, since the borders between the sub-genres are pretty blurry.
So her playlist would sound like that:
The cure, of course:
Clan of Xymox:
This song of 'Clan of Xymox' in particular because it contains her name, even if it's the 'ususal' version.
Unheilig from Germany:
I think this french-german band is her favorite band:
And now just imagine Emilie "dancing" in real goth manner to the music, slowly moving the body like in trance, following the melody.

Re: What's on your cyborg's iPod?
Since nobody posted anything here, I will grab the torch and link something.
I guess this songs are in Emilie's repertoir as well since she really loves playing piano:
Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata 3rd movement:
One day Henrietta suggested Claes and Emilie to compare their skills in a "piano battle", so Emilie increased the speed:
Not sure if this is played 2-hand or 4-hand, but it is absolutely awesome. IF somebody could play it alone at the Piano, he REALLY is a TRUE MASTER!

Re: What's on your cyborg's iPod?
It's probably had enough time to make the rounds at the SWA, so I imagine at least Allison would have this on her iPhone:
The scene at 1:14 could easily be substituted for Monty walking quite briskly away from Allison not a minute after returning to the compound.

Re: What's on your cyborg's iPod?
Lockscreens? Hmm...
Monty:
Initially I was going to throw up a Mondrian wallpaper for her, but I think this theme this is more her. It's minimalist, stylish and functional... basically it'd appeal to her on a couple of levels.
Jethro:
Sorry, couldn't find a better image, assuming he's not using the same thing Monty is of course.
Yes, it's one of the standard 4S wallpapers. Honesly I don't think it would even occur to him to bother hunting something up. I did consider throwing a picture of Monty there, but in J+M's line of work having pictures of your nearest and dearest/interests is probably a bad idea anyway. Infact I doubt there's a picture of Monty on his phone anywhere... though I guess he could always have a picture of her there in the hope that, if he got captured, she'd eventually get captured too... and then they could raise merry hell together on the Super-60's-Secret-Island-Evil-Lair (TM).
As for Danilo Olivetti:
'Nuff said. His cyborg, C.Raych, of course doesn't get a phone.

Kara probably set up Michele's iPhone 5 and picked his lock screen.
