Girls with Guns
I know we've posted pictures of girls with guns, but I believe they're mostly scattered around the forum in various threads. So rusty-spring and I thought we'd create a dedicated thread for them.

I just really love this picture of Angelica - my favorite Gunslinger Girl.
The hair is too long, but it kind of reminds me of Pia.

Damnit guys, most of my net access these days is over a university connection you know... I have to be a little bit careful.
So I'm sort of wondering if maybe we could have some sort of procedure for questionable content with this thread... at least some kind of warning system so that people don't have to worry about accessing the stuff by accident. Sorry to be a killjoy, but yeah...

I've been making sure the pictures I pose are Safe For Work (Usually, but depends on how Puritanical your workplace is), but you're right. Probably best to use a NSFW tag if it isn't. Then again, I would think looking at heavily armed females on the internet isn't exactly in any job description anyways.
Anyways, back to pictures.

The first pict in Rusty's second post is a reverse of a Beretta Cougar. I'm not aware that they ever made a left version of it with the extractor on the left-side.
I'm tossing a flag out on the play because the realism just isn't there. You suck.

Even loli-Cal doesn't make an appearance until episode 11 or so (don't remember the exact one). The grown up version doesn't appear until episode 20.
Phantom is honestly a pretty mixed bag, even for me. It's sometimes pretty bad and sometimes great. I've ended up liking it a fair bit overall, but I have reservations about recommending it. I have the feeling you'd enjoy Canaan a lot more. Kisk may hate it, but I think you might really like it (plus it's only thirteen episodes, Phantom is twenty-six).

Canaan and Alfaard from Canaan. Oddly enough, Canaan seems even more androgynous then usual in this pic despite wearing very feminine attire. Then again, perhaps she seems more androgynous then usual specifically because she's wearing such feminine attire.

I saw that picture a while ago, and I still find it somewhat disturbing. I thought Canaan was a guy at first due to the extreme androgyny. So if one doesn't take a good glance, it looks like a blonde guy with make-up and drag.
Alphard (another unusual name) however looks good.

It seems to work a little better for Canaan in this pic. Actually, it almost seems like it's a matter of how they drew her face in the last pic somehow.

Re: Girls with Guns
In my opinion it was how they drew her body. No matter how endowed (or lack of) a woman is, breasts should never form angles and straight lines. That's reserved for pectoral muscles, which are usually present on men. Either way, I don't find Canaan very appealing regardless of what she's wearing.Piero wrote:It seems to work a little better for Canaan in this pic. Re: Girls with Guns
Well, I don't think she was exactly designed to be a sexpot, Rusty. There are other characters who can fit that bill. That being said, there's no real confusion about her gender in series, that seems to be exclusively a promotional art thing. The fact you can hear her voice actress in the series itself probably helps.

Well obviously she's not a sexpot (though I'm sure she is to somebody, there's all kinds out there). All I have going right now is the promotional art too, so you can't blame me for that. I haven't found time to watch the show as of yet.Piero wrote:Well, I don't think she was exactly designed to be a sexpot, Rusty. There are other characters who can fit that bill. What with all these kids these days and their "goth" with men wearing make up and painting their nails one can never be so sure. Why, back in my day men wore suits and women wore evening gowns and pearls! In fact, if you didn't have a tie on you weren't a man!

Re: Girls with Guns
Well, yesterday I search through 312 pages of pics on Danbooru and came up with a small selection to post here (I'm pretty picky, even a lot of these are ones I don't consider all that great). For some reason there are a lot of school girls in these pics, even though they're not one of my big things. People need to do a better job of drawing older girls with guns...
This is supposedly Ein/Ellen from Phantom of Inferno, the game Phantom: Reqiuem for the Phantom was based on.
Ein/Ellen wtih a lot of guns.
Glasses girl with something like five or six guns on her person.
These two are really too innocent looking for this... though I noticed they're keeping their fingers off the triggers.
Schoolgirl spotter and sniper on a very oddly painted surface...
Panty shot warning.
Another panty shot warning.
Fan service.
There are more, but I figured this would be a good start.

In cases where the girls in the pictures aren't representations of anyone specific, I think it would be interesting if we tried creating backgrounds for them and use them as GSG OCs.

Batch Two:
Remind me never to piss off a schoogirl.
This one looks nicer though.
Would you want to be her spotter?
The load bearing vest is nice, but I'd recommend some body armour to go with it.
Schoolgirl with Kriss SMG.
Yes, there is such a thing as a customised Glock. They exist.
Girl with P-90.
I'm trying to watch the amount of fan service I have in these posts. Sometimes it's hard though.
Cute + BFG = Win
I've got more, but that's probably enough for now. Besides, i want to limit the number of lingerie pics I have in each of these posts...

The Magpul PDR was a project to develop a compact, lightweight, fully ambidextrous 5.56mm bullpup that was suitable for use as a PDW and CQB weapon. I'm not aware of it ever having progressed past the mock up stage however. Apparently the company didn't get enough interest in it to make it's development a priority when they had all sorts of other stuff on the go.
This document is a bit outdated, but talks about the idea behind the weapon, it's projected specifications, and some ways in which it could be used.
http://www.magpul.com/pdfs/PDRtech_PR.pdf
The projected weapon was lighter than a P-90 (though similar in length) and could take standard M4/M16 magazines in addition to a low profile magazine that was meant to make it more compact (it was meant to be carried under the shoulder using a special harness, as seen in the pdf file.

Heck, front lower part looks like P-90, trigger and pistol grip looks like m4, magazine slot and rear body look like FAMAS while the upper front portion of the weapon reminds me of the AUG A3 Carbine.
Kinda like it to be honest.
