I managed to get my Henrietta figurine at about $50 with shipping a long time ago. I doubt you could get it at that price anymore, if at all. I'm just going to guess that this figurine will run us about $100, if it ever is released.

Is there ANY way we can get in contact with Goodsmile and ask them about this figure? If it was shelved I will go to wherever they are keeping this prototype and take it for myself.

I just saw this, got all excited, and now I has a sad. ;_;
I might have to invest in that resin kit, though. My painting skills have only been applied to 28mm tabletop miniatures thus far, so something like a 1/8 scale is going to be a new and interesting challenge.

Anyway, I'm rather depressed that it seems like the making of new GSG figurines is coming to an end. Guess it's to be expected for a low-profile, deathly depressing series. I would gladly shell out more cash for these gems though.
Speaking of which, are there any other new GSG figurines in the works?

Wow, you have my sincerest thanks then. ADV did seem like a company so incompetent that they needed someone to shout in their ears for them to do their jobs right. Looks like I have you to thank for that.
It would be great if you could give us a repeat performance with Goodsmile.

Awwww it was nothing! Anything for Gunslinger Girl!! ^_^
I just went back in my e-mails. From 1/18/07 to 7/22/09 I was in contact with the same person. Through that time she gave me relies dates and updates on the manga. Kinda sad I'll never get to talk to her again, seeing as her e-mail was under ADV. ;_;
I WISH Goodsmile had an e-mail I could message. I would send them at least 2 a day till they agreed to make Triela, if only for a limited time, at least enough time for the people on the GSG boards to get it. ;_;
EDIT:
I'm e-mailing Yu Aida about the figure. Wish me luck!

Dear Goodsmile Company
Triela, a character from Gunslinger Girl was seen at a figure showing in 2009. We have yet to hear any word about her distribution. Many Gunslinger Girl fans and figure fans alike have been dying to buy this amazing figure. All the Gunslinger Girl fans would love to have Triela standing beside our Henrietta figures that we purchased back in 2006.
Could you please push her through into production?
Thanks so much!
Sent it to them. I'm gonna wait a few days and if they don't get back to me I'm going to send it again.
Edit:

Made that as well. I have 6 signatures (including mine) so far, and it's only been up for 15 minutes. :3 If Good Smile refuses we're gonna hit 'em hard. I'm tired of waiting to hear about this figure.

CONGRATS Triela!!! Apparently your efforts will payback. As show in Nekomagic.com magazine scans this figure is in Good Smile plans again, they let her appear in a mag this month, that means she will be here soon. By the way, I found Cyborg Central forum today when I was looking for info on this figure, and just register to post this, hope you like the news!

I...I don't...I just...I...I...I...
My brain just cannot process this much win.
I just pray to God that this is real and not just a repeat of when Goodsmile originally announced their intentions to produce a Treila figure.
However, for the sake of a more balanced response, I do have one criticism. Maybe it's just the quality of the photo, but do Triela's eyes and hair look a little washed out and pale as compared to the original pictures of the figure? Because they do to me and while I could care less about the hair colour, the empty, vacant expression in the eyes that the pale colouring conveys is a little dissappointing.
Either way, I can quite confidently say that my rampant Triela fanboyism will compel me to buy this as soon as it becomes available.

I think it's just the original picture was too dark and this one was taken with proper lighting.

Must get this
I can't even find anywhere to buy the resin kit anymore, and I was planning to. And I wanted to give it a shot painting it, even if my painting isn't that great
I have a figure of Aruruu that I managed to get the last of from forbidden planet international (it had dust on the top and everything XD - and it disappeared from their site as soon as my payment went through).
Now I want a Triela too

Oh, HELL yes! I had practically given up hope for this gem. Willing and able to fork over the boatload of cash required for this. Still willing to hand over even more of the stuff for another masterpiece, if you're feeling up to inquiring again Triela.
Ironically, I spend tons of time at my local anime convention every year hunting for these, and the best of them, like this, seem to be the ones that just fall into my lap.

For those who have used HLJ, amiami, Hobby Search, or other such sites how much do you usually pay for shipping and what shipping options do you choose? Some of these options seem ridiculously expensive, but I also don't want to take my chances here. Also, what site do you buy figurines from and how was it buying from them? I've never bought anything internationally before, having bought my PVC Etta figurine off Amazon.

Depends on how fast I want it... normally I'll use SAL, but if it's something I want in a hurry or is of particularly high value then I'll pick EMS.Godot wrote:For those who have used HLJ, amiami, Hobby Search, or other such sites how much do you usually pay for shipping and what shipping options do you choose? Triela's at a price point I'd normally select SAL, but a) I want the figurine ASAP and b) I haven't bought anything anime related in ages and figure I'm allowed to splash out for my favorite series... so I selected EMS.

SAL usually ranges from somewhere around 1300~2200 yen, EMS can go over 5000...Godot wrote:For those who have used HLJ, amiami, Hobby Search, or other such sites how much do you usually pay for shipping and what shipping options do you choose? Ah, missed that second part. I buy through HLJ, mostly because its who I started with and so I know my way through their system. So far, I've never had a problem with them.Godot wrote:Also, what site do you buy figurines from and how was it buying from them? I always ante up for EMS, even though the shipping can run the price of the figure.
I also tend to combine figures and other items into one massive shipment to help lower the costs.
