Oh, HELL yes! I had practically given up hope for this gem. Willing and able to fork over the boatload of cash required for this. Still willing to hand over even more of the stuff for another masterpiece, if you're feeling up to inquiring again Triela.
Ironically, I spend tons of time at my local anime convention every year hunting for these, and the best of them, like this, seem to be the ones that just fall into my lap.

For those who have used HLJ, amiami, Hobby Search, or other such sites how much do you usually pay for shipping and what shipping options do you choose? Some of these options seem ridiculously expensive, but I also don't want to take my chances here. Also, what site do you buy figurines from and how was it buying from them? I've never bought anything internationally before, having bought my PVC Etta figurine off Amazon.

Depends on how fast I want it... normally I'll use SAL, but if it's something I want in a hurry or is of particularly high value then I'll pick EMS.Godot wrote:For those who have used HLJ, amiami, Hobby Search, or other such sites how much do you usually pay for shipping and what shipping options do you choose? Triela's at a price point I'd normally select SAL, but a) I want the figurine ASAP and b) I haven't bought anything anime related in ages and figure I'm allowed to splash out for my favorite series... so I selected EMS.

SAL usually ranges from somewhere around 1300~2200 yen, EMS can go over 5000...Godot wrote:For those who have used HLJ, amiami, Hobby Search, or other such sites how much do you usually pay for shipping and what shipping options do you choose? Ah, missed that second part. I buy through HLJ, mostly because its who I started with and so I know my way through their system. So far, I've never had a problem with them.Godot wrote:Also, what site do you buy figurines from and how was it buying from them? I always ante up for EMS, even though the shipping can run the price of the figure.
I also tend to combine figures and other items into one massive shipment to help lower the costs.

HA! I KNEW IT!
In the midle of april I sent an email to Good Smile stating that I preordered Triela and that I would love to buy the old Henrietta, than I ask if they have any plans to re-release this figure becouse I would buy her anyway but I would be very pissed if I was to pay way more than a Hundred Dollars on ebay to have her just to discover that she would ship again in two months for half the price, at this opportunity they answer that they were happy to have me as a client but unfortunaly there were no plans for re-relese Henrietta even that some fans were willing to pay so much for her. Well, one thing I have learn in my life is that you can always trust in Murphy's law so I just knew that the moment that I order her on ebay she would pop up again, and so I decide to take advantege of this and finally win one on Murphy, and what you guys think that just happened?

YES! THEY ARE SHIPPING HER AGAIN! If I have take her on ebay as was my plan I would be pissed as hell! I even keep the email just to this very situation I problably would ask for my money back. But I decide to wait and now we can buy her for US$ 49.90 as I expected half the ebay price. Take that Murphy.
Well maybe it is better not to defy Murphy you never know when he will atack again...

Just got my Paypal receipt in my in-box, so my Triela figure should be on its way soon as well. Can't wait for her to arrive.
Out of curiosity, as this will be my very first anime figure purchase, what kind of wait-time should I realistically be looking at? I purchased my figure through Hobby-Search and went with EMS shipping.

Cool, good to know. In all honesty though, as my birthday is near the end of September, I wouldn't be all too put out by it arriving somewhere closer to that date. It would certainly make an awesome early birthday present.

The last update I received on the EMS tracking page said that my figure left Toronto at around 5pm (Tokyo time) on the 29th. I'm hoping it arrives sometime today, or tomorrow at the latest. I'm in the same boat as you, Triela; I'm going away this weekend as well so I really hope she arrives before then.

You know you're ordering a lot off the internet when you're on first-name terms with the ladies who work the morning shift at the post office... (I've been building a component stereo system, so have had large packages arriving at a rate of a few a week).
Anyway, Triela arrived today: looks good, or at least as far as I can tell through the box. Unfortunately she's going to have to live in there for awhile untill I move somewhere that it's less bloody difficult to keep things clean. Unfortunately I share Gladstone with a coal fired powerstation, two alumina refineries and two coal-outload terminals... the feeder line for one of which runs about half a click from my house.

Anyone know of where she might still be available for purchase? My usual shopping venue is only shipping to Japanese addresses. So CD Japan is out.
Ahh, forgot about good old Hobby Link Japan, though their account system is down, so I'll need a second best opinion for adopting Triela. ^^

Edit: I'm going home tomorrow and she'll be at my house on Saturday. I'm so EXCITED you have no idea!
