Erm, I've got no idea where to put this... so I'm going to guess here and you can yell at me later if it's wrong sweat

Anyway, looks like Goodsmile Company is making a concerted effort to empty my wallet again.

Triela by Goodsmile 018

1/8 Triela. Announced at WF, apparently available December-ish (though the way figure releases have been of late I'm guessing probs more likely early 2010 Razz). I'm now off to madly hit refresh untill pre-orders become available... for months if need be.

I am so buying that, no matter the cost.

Be sure to list who is stocking it when it becomes available for pre-order.

1/8th scale is usually around ¥6000-8000, though some of the more fancy ones can push ¥125000.

My 1/8th scale Horo shipped today and it was ¥5800.

The ¥1 is worth around $1 so figure with shipping she'll likely be north of $100 USD.

...yeah, that was approximately my reaction too ^^;

Sadly there's but-all info on her, not even a price yet save that she's by Goodsmile, is 1/8 scale, is due december and was announced at Wonder Festival (or whatever the abbreviation is) this year. Found her here through Haimerejzero's journal on dA. Was sort of a case of: scroll down, scroll down, bored, scroll down... oh hell yeah!

She wasn't in Hobby Search's latest email newsletter, and since there's no price yet I'd hazard a guess pre-orders won't be open for a bit... so keep your eyes peeled, I will be Very Happy

That Triela figurine looks nice...
Those two K-ON! fresh models mentioned above are awesome, yeah...

But what I am ABSOLUTELY CRAZY ABOUT is the following January 1|6 sized figurine of Ikkitousen's eye-patched dragon-high-school-maid, absolutely admirable, epic and glorious, the one and only - Ryomou Shimei:

Agreed, the anime has it's moments; but in the end is heavily fan-service based. Ironically, kinda like comparing the Eiken anime to the manga.

The Ikki Tousen manga on the other hand is chock full of suspense goodness with just enough backstabbing thrown in and some real emotion impacting events. Especially Ryofu's and Chinkyuu's last moments had me tearing up for a few good minutes afterward.

Come to think of it, Chouhi Ekitoku would make a nice addition to the 'Cute' Nomination thread. Hmm....

And it is marvelously epic... I'd say epically old fashioned even. The concept of Chinese Three Kingdom Romance is greatly transferred into modern high school realities. Moments such as when during the fight with Kanu Unchou, Chouun Shiryuu in order to purposely weaken herself equally to injured Kanu state, cuts her own wrist open. Then the female demons warriors exchange epic smiles and express respect and admiration with each other's spirit (on the foreground an overseer girl, as expressing public opinion, bluntly utters: They are mad...) ...!! >.<

btw, offtopic again though, if anyone can provide information on the following:

1) What is Ikkitousen comic magazine (Comic Gum) publishing frequency? Monthly or weekly?
2) The last (scanlated) chapter I read (on manga toshokan) was 110. Is it the latest available, or yet more to be found?
3) The group scanlating Ikki seems to be Yuki Sama Scans, but they do not seem to have either homepage, or forum, or IRC. If anyone knows something on them or on just Ikki ongoing scanlating in general, I'd be very great full.

Thanks in advance and sorry for the offtopic. Triela by Goodsmile 183408

No, I've heard nothing... there didn't seem to be any mention of her in the last set of Wonder Fest articles I read either. Got the nasty feeling she's just been quietly shelved. Goodsmile seem to have realised they they can make more money chasing mass-market stuff like Vocaloid with cheaper, higher volume product (figma and nendos... which bugs the crap out of me 'cause I don't particularly like either).

Any word yet? I'm becoming increasingly worried that new GSG figurines will stop being released soon. I'd like to give these bastards my money for more of these gems, but they apparently don't want it.
On a related note, does anyone know any sites where some of the previous figurines are still up for sale?

Na-da yet... I've got the feeling this particular project has been sadly quietly shelved. I guess that's what happens when you're not as popular and chock-full of Moe as, say, K-On! (yes, I still like K-On! in a brain-out sort of way, but I am a bit bitter that Goodsmile's released a whole lot of K-On! stuff and Triela's just sort of disappeared... don't get me started on the fucking figmas and Nendos.)

As to the otheres... ebay's the only place I can think of, there's usually a couple of Goodsmile 'Ettas on there. Managed to pickup the Pinky:st Henrietta when I was in Japan at a bargain price but I've not seen the other figures around.

I managed to get my Henrietta figurine at about $50 with shipping a long time ago. I doubt you could get it at that price anymore, if at all. I'm just going to guess that this figurine will run us about $100, if it ever is released.

Is there ANY way we can get in contact with Goodsmile and ask them about this figure? If it was shelved I will go to wherever they are keeping this prototype and take it for myself.

Yeah I was deeply disappointed it (apparently) never went into production because I really wanted it.

I just saw this, got all excited, and now I has a sad. ;_;

I might have to invest in that resin kit, though. My painting skills have only been applied to 28mm tabletop miniatures thus far, so something like a 1/8 scale is going to be a new and interesting challenge.

Yeah, I was seriously considering trying to track down that resin kit too... but probably pay someone to assemble and paint it for me. I know what my skills with that are like Triela by Goodsmile 61015

Kiskaloo, we need you to get Michele to buy Goodsmile and have it put into production.
