Now then, the original idea that started it all:



I saw this image and chuckled at the idea of Triela as a magical girl. And then it hit me: what would Gunslinger Girl be like if it stepped out of Seinen territory and was made to fit other major genres of Anime and Manga?

Shoujo Section

Beautiful Magical Guardian Assassin Triela-chan-- A 'Magical girl' series featuring 13-year-old Triela as the protagonist. As an answer to her wish to protect her friends and classmates from harm, she is mysteriously bestowed with a Winchester M1897 from the heavens, designed to cleanse the world of the dangerous organization Padania. By uttering the phrase "Winchester! Remington! Mossberg! Guardian Change!" she transforms into the mysterious magical girl warrior known as ' Shotgun Guardian Triela-Chan' and rids the world of evil Padania forces with the power of her signature attack, "Buckshot heart". As the series progresses, she meets other 'Guardian Assassins' such as Sniper Guardian Rico-chan, and Machine-gun Guardian 'Etta-chan.

Well, I've also had the idea of making some of the GSG's into Vocaloids. Triela would naturally be Miku Hatsune.

Someone had actually discussed the idea of the GSGs getting magical girl powers before. I seem to remember everyone sort of got cool magical girl stuff ('Etta and Rico got magical devices from Nanoha while Beatrice got one of the summon creatures from Mai-HiME, for instance) except for Triela who got Sailor Moon's powers. And was very upset about it. Something like that, anyway.

BTW, the above pic is a voice actress related joke -Eri Sendai played both Triela and the magical girl Triela is dressed up as in that pic (as well as Yukari Morita from Rocket Girls, but that has basically nothing to do with the pic).

Although they aren't played by the same VA, Triela's hairstyle makes me think of Fate Testarossa from the Nanoha franchise (who also happens to be awesome). Although I think Triela's hair is shorter than Fate's.

Going with the whole Magical Girl vein Claes gets her hands on Grossphelina from Silent Mobius.

Not to be left out Angelica devops spirit powers similar to those found in Sakura wars

I've pointed this out before, but Henrietta and Angie are almost dead-ringers for Sakura and Tomoyo from Cardcaptors.

Ok, I just had another splatter of creativity. since we have at least a Magical girl series for the Shoujo genre, let's move on to Shounen. I had another idea that would have involved the Anime outrunning the Manga and therefore having to switch to filler arcs to kill time, but then I thought of something a bit more feasible:

Agreed. When I first saw Angelica, I was like "Hey! She looks and acts a lot like Tomoyo from CCS!!". As for Henrietta, she DOES act a lot like Sakura and look somewhat like her.

Related to this topic, a while ago, I had an idea where Tomoyo visits Rome and the mafia plans to abduct her. However, the SWA finds out and they conduct a switch operation where Angelica is taken instead and then the SWA traces where she's been taken and they rescue her while killing her kidnappers. It's basically a rehash of what they did in episode 12 of season 1 of the anime.

That's how similar they look.......

At some point in the future, the Cyborgs gain enough renown as heroes to become a summonable entity or servant, however, they do not fit into any of the seven pre-established classes (Archer, Saber, etc.). So, new classes are made: Rico becomes known as Sniper, Triela as Bayonet (one of the classes is named a weapon, like Saber), Henrietta as Gunner, Angelica... well, she's known by the old Assassin class, Beatrice is no known only as Grenadier, Petra is now known as Fanservice, and Claes... well, Claes is of a most feared class: *cue dramatic music* Gardener....

Now, all of them will be summoned by seven sorcerers in fight to a most powerful artifact: the Holy Grail Hand Grenade Rocket Propelled Grenade.
