I didn't have much time so I just did a quick sketch. I was really trying to pull away from the whole ponytail hairstyle, but damned if they don't happen to work really well in anime.

Ponytails do work really well in anime... pity they don't live up to standard (most of the time) in real life. Or at least, not without using apparently a buttload of product.
Awesome man.

Man, Rusty! I really wish I could draw as well as you; then I could do Allison some justice outside of print description...

Long, long overdue, but I finally managed to replace the placeholder in Adam's second picture and replaced it with what it should have been.
It's basically the full size version of Sloane's shotgun that she had chopped down.

Re: Rusty's Art Post 2.0
Quick small update on some art.
Adding some more detail and tested out a patterned brush on this Armored Core fan-art. I'm not happy with the result though, so I probably won't keep the texturing.
Testing out various ways to color another Project Refrain character, this time Marron. I like the exotic look I've seen some characters have in anime, so I wanted to test it out. No shading, just a simple paint bucket fill.

Re: Rusty's Art Post 2.0
I'm one of the few people I know personally who's even heard of the series. It's one of those games that polarizes people. Either you love the tinkering and nerding out over the details of making a giant mecha, or you hate hate how complicated and unforgiving the controls can be.Alfisti wrote:Oh man, Armored Core... haven't played that in ages (or sober for that matter).

Re: Rusty's Art Post 2.0
Yeah... the controls were not exactly user friendly, not aided from the fact that I believe they changed some of them around for AC3 (?). I've never owned a gaming console, so only ever played it at a mate's house and hence never managed to learn the controls well enough to tell the difference.
That said, despite consistently getting my arse kicked, it was a heap of fun.

Re: Rusty's Art Post 2.0
Sloane Harper Character Sheet
I had lost this file a long time ago due to a hard drive crash (and stupidity for not backing it up ). I remember I had chosen the colors for this picture a long time ago over a lot of deliberation. After I had lost the image I didn't have the motivation to try to recreate the colors I had wanted so it got pushed aside. Luckily, someone had saved a backup of it for their own collection and was kind enough to send me a copy. I had almost forgotten some of the "fluff" info I had included so it was amusing to read.
Bonus, here is an old labeled version of the Sphereport satellite map I had made before. Text is probably hard to read without viewing it full size. For reference, Sphereport is like shoving the population of Texas into an area the size of Massachusetts. Lots of skyscrapers and high-rise apartments.

An unfinished artwork I did a long while ago. Something about it I didn't like. Pretty sure it was the arm pose and yawning facial expression that didn't come out the way I wanted.

As Laine is one of the OCs I am more comfortable writing, I keep an eye out for possible outfits she might wear in future stories. I thought this could work for her with winter approaching:
