I found that one easy, its the explosives with the giant square detonator that always get me. I shoot fast while forgetting to wait until the red glow goes out...

Shift is for lowering the scope and viewing the map.
Back space brings up the menu I think

This game is addicting. I started playing and lost track of time.

Adding a portrait of the gunman herself at the bottom is a nice touch, improved further by how she grins at criticals and grimaces at misses (or does a double-take when she sets off a bomb!) - shoot-'em-ups can be quite anonymous games and this detail helps to give it that much more distinctive personality. There's some sophistication in windspeed, recoil and the shots taking time to travel to the target, and the backdrops and music are attractive, as well - altogether, it's quite a professional piece.

+1 Rob. I've had time worse spent. "Extreme Paintbrawl" being one of them.

reminds me of Silent scope, sniping stuff that is not usually sniped, but this one has a loli ^_^

Haha, so I beat the game before I figured out that you can press space to hold your breath. Using the term "Aim" to describe steadying the rifle is a little misleading lol.

Use your l33t sk1llz lol. Years of video games and target shooting have given me the ability to take snap shots even when the crosshair weaves and bobs like it was held by a drunk with an inner-ear infection.

OMG. I just realized that it counts as at hit as long as you shoot within the square. You don't have to hit the wire itself.

not necessarily, since in the finall battle the wires are around circles, it becomes much tougher

i love this game. if only i have enough time to play it. i rarely play shooting game, so it's quite hard form me. it's also quite hard to get all item, equipment, and skills

Notice the change of expression in the character. His other game is simple pistol shooting--but still good.

I doubt that we're going to see it, unfortunately - as the last update for the rifle game is dated 2007, and the website link on the pistol game is 404'd, it seems safe to say that they've been abandoned.

One niggle that does irritate me a little is on the second stage - the fact that you can't hit multiple targets. Lining up a string of criticals for great bonus multipliers would seem to be an obvious objective for target games like this one, but if you shoot two targets as one passes in front of the other it'll only register you hitting one - and not necessarily the one in front, either! It seems like a missed opportunity.

If you're breathing heavily and have the rifle tucked against your shoulder, your breathing may cause the barrel to rise and fall. Try aiming from your shoulder after a hard run, and you might experience this. It may not mean much in close-range combat where you can't really miss, but it may mean a whole lot where it comes to taking long-range, precision shots.

I was thinking more of a true combat situation, where you're running for cover while stopping every now and then to fire back. But I guess that doesn't apply in West's case...

indeed, when that situation presents itself i use an airsoft rifle, lighter more manegable. firing the real thing has me confined in the range, carry it anywhere else and the cops will be all over my ass

You know, I reckon the lighter weight of an airsoft gun might actually make the 'barrel rising and falling during heavy breathing problem' more pronounced...

If you ever been in an airsoft match and is running away from a number of hails of white BB pellets, steadying the sights while holding your breath is a good way to actually provide a steady aim with the sniper rifle

...although in regards, you have to watch the wind current or else the BB would be out of the range

... that does seem to be the logical conclusion... i guess i'm just more used to airsoft guns then... these are stuff that you shake of over time right? or do you think i just forget that im not breathing

on such an occation i just ditch the sniper rifle and go for a side arm, since if their bb pellets are reaching me, then that means i just lost my range advantage in my sniper rifle... but then, that's me im not really a sniper guy, i'm pretty much ambush and harass

and i wouldn't shoot a sniper rifle standing, i need my cover, and something to support my rifle beneath, it just feels awkward wielding a sniper rifle like in counter strike

one more thing: with a real firearm you can achieve distances that are much greater than with airsoft, so even the slightest change in angle can throw your shot off. Even restful breathing can move your shoulders enough to make you miss at 300m+

...that being said, this game doesn't take into account round dropoff over distance or the curvature and rotation of the Earth (though without seeing where the sniper is in relation to the target, I'm not sure that would come into play... it just seems like the bullet takes an awful long time to reach its target, so maybe 500-ish meters, depending on muzzle velocity).

It is still an alpha version of the game. The options and difficulty were not available until the later release, I guess?

...that being said, I am tempted with the MMO promoted there...although at some point I feel its slightly vulgar...
