Who here is your Fav BL Lady
Fav Femme Fatale
Exactly what it says on the tin. Here we express our burning passion, through democratic vote, for our favourite Black Lagoon Lady!
Me?
It was close, but Bloodhound Junior pulled ahead of Megane-terminator. I think I have everyone here accounted for, so vote away!

Re: Fav Femme Fatale
I like a few characters from BL.
Looking at "Who here is your Fav BL Lady" in a way of "Its my fav, and I wouldn't mind to have her as my girl."
But I chose Balalaika.
Revy, a bit too agressive and too trigger happy for my taste.
Shen-Hua, Though I love the style she dress's herself in, I dont really see acting like a lady when needed.
Sawyer, she's cute, And I certainly like her goth style. but she is a bit too bloody for me, I mean cutting up bodies, some of which get delivered to her still alive...
Balalaika, Calm, collect and Combat hardened. She can be kind to people she likes, but she is extremely ruthless to her foes. AS fer her scars, well... Its just a small thing. actually, I think that it accents her beauty with the notion that she isn't just some pretty blond girl. but a blond who has seen her share of blood shed.

My top 3
1 - Eda
2 - Balalaika
3 (tie) - Fabiola
3 (tie) - Shenhua
I could probably write an essay as to why, but I won't for sake of sanity. And it's no surprise that Eda = Awesome in my book.

honestly, I regard damn near every woman in that series as little more than eye candy, both for their figures and for the over-the-top fighting they're involved in.
'cept for Balalaika... she's just evil.

It's not plot related in anyway, but I suppose this is a spoiler for an awesome action sequence.
God I love how over the top Black Lagoon is.
- Spoiler:
- BTW, in latest raw chapter 65, Roberta shatters Shenhua's kukri (knife) by biting it with her teeth. :lollol:

Not really. I guess it just figures. I mean I knew GSG before I knew BL, and I became hooked on BL as well.
So I guess all our tastes are similar to that respect.

Pretty much. We found each other based on our fandom for GSG.
This is simply an introduction of a new media to our fandom that spins off of an already established community.
As the immortal Billy Joel would say:
We didn't start the fire,
It was always burnin' since the wrld's been turnin'

Manga, is awesome. I assume that all these women are from Black Lagoon? You know what my opinion is? Star Buck is the most bad ass Femme Fatale. Why? She can, and will drink most anyone else under the table. She's hot. She's a B.A.M.F. in, and out of the of the cockpit. Yeah, she's a bad ass space jockey with more confirmed kills then most of her male comrades.

Okay, Roberta. Since she's just pure awesome.

Actually, I consider Gretel (lolicious! ^_^; ) but I think I need high amount of sedatives just to make her act nice....
And Fabiola seems to committed to his young master, so NO.

No, Hansen is a boy. They sometimes switch. the boy becomes a girl, and the girl becomes a boy.
Not in physical means, only in appearance.
From what I know, they are actually twins. Boy and Girl Twins aren't unheard of. So they both have short hair, so they would just switch clothings and a hand over a wig for long hair to make the Girl Role complete and presto, a boy looks like a girl.
And seeing as they are to young for Gender specific features to start becoming apparent, you wouldn't be able to see the difference without stripping them from their clothing.
Also, switching their place also means that they can switch weapons. Melee and boy one day, ranged and a girl another.
However, there is another freaky anomaly I am detecting in this. but I cant make any fact of it.

Re: Fav Femme Fatale
All I can say is that every time I look at Hansel and Gretel, the former doesn't look like anything but a girl in boy's clothing, and the latter doesn't look like anything but a boy in drag. It's in their facial features, you see - a very, very close look shows that Hansel has rather feminine facial features, while Gretel's seem more masculine. Take a gander at this picture, and judge for yourselves.
Or maybe it's just me. Either way, I believe that cross-dressing twins would be entirely in keeping with the series' black humor.

Damn it, it is so frustrating that you cant see any distinct Gender features on them.
Nacht, have you seen Volume 2 chapter 12 by any chance?
Page 186 is the closest you can get to them being near naked. (though I wouldn't advice you looking at it while kids are present...)
Page 187 is even closer, but still, chests are flat because of age, and the crutch's are covered up. so no jackpot there either...

Re: Fav Femme Fatale
There is no clear anwser to the genders of the twins.
It's been debated for years, but until the author gives answers, it's all just in your head.
I'll present the facts, and have you decide on it.
1. Identical twins are normally of the same sex, so in "reality" it's
likely they are either both boys or both girls. However, opposite sex
identical twins does happen sometimes, at EXTREME low probability. But
this is anime/manga, so anything goes.
2. Both have short hair, and interchangable with wigs.
3. When the creator/author of Black Lagoon draws the twins on
illustrations, he draws both with breasts, but only one with what seems
to be a penis.
4. In volume 5 of the manga, under where he lists the weapons featured in BL, he adresses the twin girl with the BAR as "she". (彼女)
5. In the manga extra story, where the sex of characters of Black
Lagoon are switched, (Rock was a large breasted OL, Bararaika was a
stud, etc) the twins simply say "boy!" "girl!"
In other words, there's no concrete evidence to say which is who, and who is what. So, let your imagination fly. Whichever you like better, loli or shota.
The most popular theory however, is that they are two boys that exchange identities, clothes and voices to keep up appearances.
Why do they do this must be crelated to their illegal porn/murder movies days which led to the last surviving twin to "reward" Rock for his kindness with teh butsecks...which probably revealed tortured genitalia as in a vagina where a penis should be.
Having been enlightened to the background of the twins for the first time and how they
turned out to be so... broken/twisted, I find myself sympathizing with
their situation, despite the better advice from both Chang and
Balalaika about sympathy for devils. Awful, and awfully sobering. It was very depressing to see Rock´s crash-lesson on just how
black the world he has entered can be.
My mother has killed me,
My father is eating me,
My brothers and sisters sit under the table,
Picking up bury them under the cold marble stones...
That´s why i love Black Lagoon, it´s so much more than a Hollywood action movie.

Re: Fav Femme Fatale
Now that I have finished the Black Lagoon anime I can honestly name a favorite femme fatale!!
And my choice is...drum roll please...
Ur-hmm!!
My favorite is...Roberta!
Yes, Roberta.
Why is it Roberta?
Although Eda and Revy came in at a very close second and third respectively; Roberta is the character that I came to regard the highest. Although she was tired of fighting for a 'lost cause', she instead did a complete 180 focusing her life to a honestly just cause.
Although they want to, with Rock at their side no less, that is something I don't see either Eda or Revy committing to in the near( or any) future.
