Salve, Il mio nome e' Farbanti...
Io parlo un poco italiano...but I prefer English.
Ambuiguities aside, I'm actually glad to see a side solely dedicated to the GSG series. Be it anime or manga. I'm not sure what else to what else to say really...
Prefered weapons:
Primary: Heckler & Koch XM-8SDM Series 5.56mm NATO (OTAN) W/ 40MM Muti-Purpose launcher
Secondary: Heckler & Koch Mark 23SD .45ACP
Prefered Explosive: Flashbang
Fighting style: Tactical Krav Maga, M.C.M.A.P Vers.
Strategy style: Tactical
Arrivederci

Well, my issue is that I can't put on my post automatically. I tried the FAQ and the "always attach my sig" button on my preference menu.
Edit: ah, now it works.

That acronym stands for Marine Corps Martial Arts Program, Emperor - it's American. And no - Farbanti appears to be from Italy, not Japan.

Benvenuto Farbanti! Um, Nacht? Farbanti said he currently lives in Japan (are you stationed there, Farbanti?) and since he's in the United States Marine Corps I'm guessing he's not from Italy. Especially since he said he only speaks a little Italian ("Io parlo un poco italiano"). Man, for a moment I thought you were speaking Latin there, Farbanti (I'm currently studying Latin). Once again, welcome to the forum! (And speak more Italian to me - it's a fun language!)

Not enough? My goal is to know a dozen languages by the time I'm 30. My native language is English. I've studied Spanish, Quenya, and Japanese. I just started studying Latin a week ago. I also plan to study Italian and German soon as well as Interlingua. After that, it's a toss up between Greek, Hebrew, Russian, Swedish, Chinese, and Korean. Or maybe Swahili - I just haven't thought that far ahead yet. Oh yeah, there's also the languages in Indian, Nepali, and Arabic... but I'm rambling now. Of course, knowing a Latin based language helps tremendously with being able to read and learn other ones. Like how I could read what Farbanti said without ever having studied Italian. Well, does that answer your question?Tommygunner70 wrote:Just how many languages do you know?

The nationality of MCMAP is, as someone answered, American. And yes it does stand for the Marine Corps Marital Arts Program. ^^

Re: Salve, Il mio nome e' Farbanti...
Instead of posting multiple posts I'm gonna open up two windows just to make my replies more easier to post.
FAQ:
Q: MCMAP? What's that?
A: It's the Marine Corps Martial Arts Program.
Q: Are you a Marine?
A: No, I'm a Marine Corps Junior Reserve Training Corps Cadet. I'm really a civilian. And I can't even enlist because I'm not old enough...Jeez I'm only 15.
Q: How the hell does a 15 year old get into the MCMA Program?!
A: I'm a cadet, and since I train under the Marine Corps (JROTC) why not learn how to kick arse like the Marine Corps? XD
Q: YOU LIVE IN JAPAN?!
A: Yes I do, but I'm a military dependent. Google...Military Brat.
Q: You study what languages?
A: I study Italian under my own discretion. I study Spanish at school, and English is my main language. I speak only enough Japanese just to get by though Japanese society, I can't carry on long standing conversation in Japanese.

welcome, fellow military-affiliated friend.
I'm actually kinda jealous... I've always been too busy to get past the jiu-jitsu/groundfighting portion of Army combatives, striking isn't until the advanced portions...
and I had to quit my civilian Krav Maga instruction... bein' "in the rear with the gear" isn't all it's cracked up to be...
