Greetings, everyone. I am Fura, just another Gunslinger Girl fan. I'll be blunt: I visited this site before just for the scans (of course, infinite thanks to Tommygunner70 and the other scanlators for the great work) and registered here primarily for them but I don't mind discussing with everyone here about one of my favourite stories ever, if I'll have the chance.

Italian? I don’t mean to put you on the spot, but I’m sure there are a lot of fan fic authors here who’d love to hit you up for cultural references. But that’s only if you want.

However, you know... Sheo actually asked me some things about Italy, and I managed to answer him correctly even though I dont have a clue about Italy me self.
If you look hard enough, and pull your research, you can find out anything while on the net you know?

(no i am not comming down on you for that, Danjo, I am meaning to say, that some people just need to start trying a little harder then asking others, but thats one of my personal views here )

Very true Tommy. Point well taken. I guess I just thinking about little things that only a person who is from a particular country knows.

Example, when I was writing one of my stories I wanted to include cheek kissing - the way it’s done as a greeting in Italy. All I could find on the web was a bunch of tourist opinions on where, when and how you are suppose to do it, and every one of them was different. I would have loved to talk to a person from that country to get the real low down.

I'll start from this: usually, cheek kissing is a simple and very common informal greeting, used by relatives or, more generally, by people who meet each other at least once. However, its use changes from person to person, so there can be people who cheek kiss even unknown guys or people that try to avoid cheek kissing if possible (that's me). About the methods: usually, the cheek kissing consists of a double kiss (one on a cheek and one on the other cheek), but there are some superstitious people who cheek kiss three times, because 3, the number of the Trinity, brings good luck, as everyone may know.
