Airsoft
Who kicks it, what weapon kicks you, and will you buck wild like the girls?
I kick it! Its the sport!
I rank lieutenant in the club, commanding a squad of six composing of man and women (4 guys with me included, and 2 girls).
I LOVE the M1A1 Thompson SMG. My primary weapon, accompanied with the M1911A1 pistol and 4 extra Thompson magazines.
On the field, I am part of the assault team. My squad consists of those using short, high-firing weapon like submachine guns or carbines. We're those who 'buck wild' in CQB fields but cower in Jungle fields
So what about you?

Re: Airsoft
I do, my team composes of 6 guys, as a underaged kid, im not really allowed to buy real guns yet so im just crazy for my air soft guns.
My weapon of choice is my trusty FAMAS rifle. my secondary weapons would compose of a P-90 around my shoulder and a Desert Eagle just for kicks.
im pretty conservative with how i shoot. all i need is a couple of shots to get the job done anyway. my team is fine anywhere, but we prefer the urban and jungle settings

Uhhh I have an airsoft P-90, though I don't use it. (Though I really want to take it into and open field one day and just shoot targets.

Re: Airsoft
I've got a large collection of airsoft weapons - a Benelli M3 Super 90 (with laser sight), two HK USPs (with laser sights), a SiG P230SL, a Glock of some kind and a Colt Double Eagle. There was a time when I used to take them to airsoft wars that I would stage with acquantances, but I've never used them in public ever since we nearly got busted after holding a match in a graveyard after dark. Airsoft weapons are illegal where I live.

Re: Airsoft
hee....the P90!
Is it Chinese, Japanese, or Taiwanese made?
I've seen the pic; why were there orange caps on the tip? That just ruin the image of the gun...
still, a Mayuri-san uses the P90 as a spray-and-pray weapon in the squad
I'm saving for the M249 SAW or at least the M60. The M1 Garand is a nice touch to the world war 2 collection, but is just off the price...
The club in school is currently looking for a support gunner since our previous left for college...
Its always fun to engage someone in Urban CQB fields. Hiring the abandoned location is not a problem--usually collecting the players is

Yep. Expect something creeping up behind (or below)...
...or expect an extra invincible individual to add the excitement :p
player: *fires airsoft at an individual at a distance*
individual: *no reaction*
player: *fires again*
individual: *no reaction*
player: *runs up close* FREEZE!
individual: *turns to player, smiles, and disappears...

Don't have any airsofts, but if I did buy one (and had a heafty budget) I'd want this: http://images.google.ca/imgres?imgurl=http://www.dragunov.net/images/dragunov_airsoft.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.dragunov.net/airsoft_svd.html&h=322&w=513&sz=102&hl=en&start=13&um=1&tbnid=Wbp55yMYxsjEjM:&tbnh=82&tbnw=131&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dairsoft%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26safe%3Doff%26sa%3DN

If you do have the budget san-san, don't. You'll regret purchasing the Dragunov...
Our sniper uses an AK-47 transformed into the Dragunov (giving a full-auto sniper rifle). Some players were untruthful, and would not admit they're hit--a single fire from the Dragunov doesn't cause someone to scream for mercy.
...the RPK and the M249 does...yep...a continuous spray on someone is enough. If he's not into it, then shoot the crotch and make him squeal! (common practice)

Re: Airsoft
Depending how its upgraded.
Ours were around 140fps max--some were crazy enough to go for 170fps (slow firing, but when it hits you it'll definitely make you scream for mercy )
The M1A1 Thompson is around 138fps. Doesn't have the range, but have the speed to sweep a group of uncovered boys
You can upgrade these by changing the spring, the barrel, the motor, etc. Its not too expensive around here; Hong Kong is waaay cheaper than here though!
...on the Dragunov case, if a single shot is enough to make someone squeal...I suggest upgrading it into around...180fps. But remember: do not fire more than 3 rounds at one guy; it'll leave a mark.
The K98K model is a nice start for snipers

I'm not talking force, Panzer - I'm talking how many rounds does one of those things fire in one minute when on full-auto.

Oh! Lesse...
The Thompson I'm using fires around... 700-850 rounds/min
That's the average using an 8.4v battery
Depending on the smoothness of the barrel, the power of the motor, and the length of the barrel the RPM could be increase

Re: Airsoft
Airsoft gun in Japan doesn't have orange tips--sometimes we're sponsored in an all-out reenactment of 'Battle of the Bulge'. Complete with MG Airsofts such as the MG42, the MG38, BAR, .30 Cal... so forth.
I heard back then they had a German Hanomag in play too...
One thing that airsoft guns in here must have though, is an orange polycap to be use anythime UNLESS we're in a game, or we're ready to shoot. We carry the guns in a bag anyway--can't afford to attract too much attention.

Re: Airsoft

Krieghoff? As in German war-time weapons?
Lesse...
Tokyo Marui produces the K98K--but occasionally reach the market. Then there's always Taiwan's company (I don't remember the name) who produces the Parabellum P08 Luger and Mauser C96. MP40 is also a common classic to be produced.
I think they also produced the G43, Fallschirmjager Gewehr FG42, and the StG 44 Assault Rifle...but I'm not sure. They could be custom made from existing airsoft. Last time I went to Hong Kong in what-the-hell-I-don't-know-street (close to WGC Shop's outlet) I find an StG 44 Assault Rifle (airsoft) on display. Real beauty...movable cocking handle and all.
Usually FG42 and the StG 44 were based on AK47's motor/gear. They took the weapon apart, order a special custom-made for their own, and put em' together. Don't ask about the magazine--The FG42 uses either G3SG1 Magazine or a short M16 magazine while the StG 44 uses the AK-47 mag. Heard they're developing a proper magazine for them though, but not sure.
I'm trying to find a drum-magazine for the M1A1 Thompson right now; thinking of modifying the second one into the M1928 Thompson with a pistol-grip.
Oh yeah, before I forgot, China is currently running in their airsoft business. Have to admit they're cheaper, but to say they suck terribly is a blasphemy; their guns were magnificent. A second K98K Replica, MP40, and other were 'made in China'.

Re: Airsoft
The Krieghoff is the FG42, Panzer. I've got a (bad?) habit of referring to guns by their manufacturers' names...
StG44 = Haenel
MG42 = Grossfuss
MP40 = Erma
MG34 = Rheinmetall
K98K = Mauser
... and so on.

Re: Airsoft
aaah...
Now I get it...
Its not a bad habit; its unique
The FG42 is usually custom made from--sorry, its not the AK47 skeleton--but the M249 SAW. The ability to load rounds from the side is only available on the M249 SAW.
Either that, or its all custom-made. Collectors seriously would buy high for those

...too shiny...
Well, it is airsoft, but somehow I think it is not; more like a model gun or something. I've never seen it in Akihabara before...
...ooh...wait...I think it is 'just a model'. The magazine isn't there; I mean, its not detached from the gun. Usually, new airsofts would have its magazine away from the gun.
...and I'm somehow suspicious with the cable extending from the barrel...
