NaNoWrimo Anyone?

NaNoWrimo AKA: National Write a Novel Month is in November. The goal is to write 50,000 words in a month. I did it last year and didn't finish, but am hopeful this year.
Anyone interested in doing it too? The website is: http://nanowrimo.org/ full rules and stuff is there. Its fun and quite a few authors have written published works for this. Plus its good practice. Finishers also get prizes. This year CreateSpace (TM) is offering Two free paperback copies of a finished book for NaNoWriMo winners!

Do note that any fanfiction doesn't count.
That being said, sounds like fun, so I'm gonna go for it. Am I gonna succeed? Not likely, since finals are literally the first week of December. BUT! I can make headway, right? Right.

Just don't write one word 50,000 times. That'd be stupid, and it's not a novel; just a collection of one word.

good luck to the three of you. If you get stuck, just remember the NaNoWriMo motto: "Plot is optional. Word count is all."
NaNoWriMo is a great way force yourself to produce that crucial first draft of that great story you just can't seem to get around to writing. I've never participated, but if I ever suffer from writer's block around the first of November some year, I may give it a shot.
