I've actually eaten a fried mealworm at one point (my high school biology teacher brought them in), and to tell you the truth, they actually taste a little like almonds. Actually wasn't as bad as it sounded, though I wouldn't eat a raw, live insect unless I was in an actual wilderness survival situation.
