Crossovers can work if you use two series that have a reasonable amount in common. There's a reason why I've tried my hand at writing a crossover between Full Metal Panic and Canaan but not Macross Frontier and Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha.
Although then again there is this video (yeah, it's Macross Plus, not Macross Frontier, but still).Edit: Decided the vid was a better example than the model kit.

so let me suggest a cleaner alternative:
Your challenge is to write a story crossover with Alphonse Elric from FULL METAL ALCHEMIST and THE INVINCIBLE IRON MAN. The story should use explosive diarrhea as the juicy plot device.
(kinda reminds me of an old commercial I saw on YouTube about soup that went something like):
