There is something about circular animation that makes me want to just turn my brain off and stare at it indefinitely. Maybe it's that I expect something to happen (on the 1000th repetition, maybe), or maybe it's just some sort of relaxing hypnotic effect.

Gah... You know, I come back to this thread every time I visit the forum now. But, hell, if it puts you in a good mood it ain't no waste of time.

(I actually had the thought that someone ought to make an animated gif that does do something suddenly, after 1000 repetitions. I went as far as to research it and download a gif/animation program. Unfortunately, apparently, the gif format allows very little ingerence to the animation cycle. So I'll either have to find some neat trick or use another niomation format, or possibly make a lot of frames, but that would be just stupid-it'd be hudge and all choppy and stuff.)

Wow... Only now do I truly appreciate how hard it is to make an animation like that... The detail is amazing, it's meticulous pixel by pixel drawing.

I'm not sure if it's exactly created pixel-by-pixel.

Just looks extremely zoomed in to me. You can make any picture look like a load of pixels if you magnify the heck out of it.

That's ture for the Tessa one, but I think the Henrietta one was done pixel-by-pixel. The face color is not uniform it is a regular mix of various color pixels. If it was done in PS then it would be far more uniform (see Tessa's face), instead of being checkersboard like. Also, high quality pics don't take shrinking very well. I really don't know, I guess there are special programs for easily making small low resolution gifs.

If it's really the official poster for season 2, then a high quality scan is bound to come up sooner or later. (I'm actually surprised that it hasn't yet considering that it's due to come out so soon. Maybe it has, but is just burried in some Japanese language forums.)

p.s. - I've been meaning to clear out the text and put them in a snow covered italian city landscape (prefferably a fountain), add some snow in a foreground layer too. It would look great. But, I suddenly found out I'm going back to Poland indefinitely, so I have no idea when I'll get some time to play around with it. (Maybe someone else'll pick up the idea.)

I used Windows Movie Maker and took each pic frame by frame. Then I used a banner/avatar making program (I forgot the name) and animated them. I don't have the programs ever since i got my Mac... I need to get the programs... I'm glad you like them!! ^___^

Does that include the dark makeup under the eyes? LOL

I don't wear makeup, Klicks - the shadowy areas around my eyes are a feature of mine that come entirely naturally. Highly allergic people - a category that includes me - get those a lot.

I just realized that's something Alessandro would do. I apologise for the insult on your dignity Nacht. Some things should never be said, even as a joke. LOL (Yeah, I know not everyone hates Sandro, and that we should "give him a chance", but I think I've pretty much made up my mind, at least for now: I hate his guts.)

I understood it well enough just from having read the manga (it has quite a few of the same scenes as volume 3, and the rest of it is pretty intuitive dialogue), and I can usually get about one word in ten in Japanese (currently using Rosetta Stone to get better).

I'm using VLC media player's 'snapshot' feature and Adobe ImageReady (part of the Photoshop 7.0 package) to make the animations... it's very time-consuming.

thanks, and: yep, season 2, episode 1, around 14:40 (as downloaded from this torrent)... as I've said, I made it with VLC media player and Adobe ImageReady.

No, no, no. You guys just don't understand. The SWA simply borrowed some of Hollywoods top-of-the-line, super compression magazines, that allow action movie heros to store hundreds if not thousands of rounds in a single mag. The technology is top secret, but apperently the SWA has manadged to strike some sort of agreement with the old HAG (Hollywood Arms Group), or maybe even stole the blue prints.


Oh, right. I forgot to explain why a belt of ammunition seems to be proceeding from Triela's hand. Well, the explanation is really quite simple: a belt of ammunition is proceeding from Triela's hand (what will those crazy scientists think of next?).

This thread seems to deal with animations, so I guess I'll just put it here. I spent some time trying to play around with cursors. Unfortunately all the graphics programs I have can't deal with .ani files. Downloaded a special (free) editor:

Still had to deconstruct a .bmp animation in "Benton Movie GIF" and then move all the frames into the new editor. The images had to be resized too since .ani can only be 32x32.

Anyway, here's a replacement for "busy" (the little sand clock).

It's good to see one made from the maga images. It has a nice feel to it. Are those frames in order, though? It's a bit hard to follow. Maybe if you inserted a blank frame at the end, so that it's easier to know where it starts.

Man that girl was not all there, although it makes me wonder if that was entirely Lauros fault, a misfire of the conditioning, or.. and I honestly suspect this, she was a bit pyscho BEFORE the SWA got their paws on her.

That's a topic worth exploring in it's own right, whether or not conditioning can overwrite a previously existing psychosis, especially if it has some physical/neurochemical imbalance roots ?
