Snap, crackle, and WHOA!

This past Sunday, the local community unveiled the World's Largest Rice Krispies Treat! Camera crews from TLC were there to document the entire process for an upcoming television special called "Mega Bites" that will premier in the early summer. Upon hearing the city was going to be making this, I signed up to volunteer. Seriously, when's the next time I'd ever get close to the world's largest anything?

It took FOREVER to unveil the treat. Since this was on camera they had all of us cheer for long periods of time and do countdowns over and over. Finally they let us see what it looked like and...well I'll let you decide. The Guinness World Record Officials were there and it was official this was the world's largest (at over 10,000 pounds). Amusing for the most part, but honestly I wouldn't want to eat it.

Those marshmallows were about the size of volleyballs and those confection sugar sprinkles were the size of saucers.

I want to jump off a diving board and onto that thing.

If I was there, I would so run up and take a bite out of it.

What the hell's a "Rice Krispie Treat"? Is that like a Rice Krispie Square, and the difference is only between American/Canadian English, or is it some stranger monstrosity?

Personally I prefer large versions of those sticky-traps they use to catch rodents on.
