Staying up late without a computer to shape my thoughts = GSG/Evangelion crossover idea
Since my computer was refusing to work, I had some time to write the old fashioned way. About 2 in the morning or so, I found the following segment flowing onto the paper.
Anyway, I think it would be interesting to throw the Neon Genesis Evangelion cast in with the SWA, since they both kind of fall into the same "bespectacled men heading sinister government organizations that use emotionally scarred children and teenagers to do their dirty work" mold, and if you take away NERV's giant robots and angels and Kabbalistic nonsense, I could easily see the two organizations working together in a mutually-exploitative manner for a while.
Thoughts? Comments? I don't know if I want to do anything more elaborate with it yet, though I do have some half-finished vignettes with other characters I will probably complete sometime soon. Anyone think I should turn this into a full story?
Claes found that japanese boy, Shinji, in the vegetable garden, contemplating a half-grown squash. “If you’re hungry, staring won’t make it grow any faster.” she said, interrupting his reverie. He looked up, startled and embarrased enough to refuse to meet her eyes for more than an instant before returning them to the ground, as if in fear it might fall away if he stopped keeping an eye on it. Claes stood there a moment longer before giving up on conversation and returning to her task. She filled up a watering can and started to work her way around the garden, skirting around the motionless Shinji the way she did the fruits and vegetables. “I’ve been reading about Japan since your team came here, but you can’t learn everything from books alone.” Claes stated, not really expecting a response. “Have you ever been to Kyoto? The Imperial Palace?”
Shinji looked up again, holding Claes’s gaze this time. “I only know they exist from my classes…Father’s always busy with his work…so is Misato-san…and I wouldn’t be allowed to leave NERV on my own.” He murmured softly, sounding more resigned than sad that he’d never been able to see such important landmarks when he’d lived around them all his life.
“I can understand that….” Claes replied after a moment, thinking. Maybe the two of them had something in common, since they’d both been shut away their entire lives, and had lived and learned only through reading whatever they could. Then, she had an idea. “I could lend you some of my book while you’re here then, if you like, but you can help me with this first.” She pushed the watering can into his arms with a slight smile. “Go fill this up, please.”

I think a crossover would work, if only you could create a special AU version of Evangelion to cross GSG over with. One more grounded in realism. Think of how Chris Nolan 'realized' the Batman mythos.

Yeah, I figure one more Evangelion AU wouldn't be noticed with there being 6 or so official ones, like most mega-franchises. The Batman connection is solid. XD
I was thinking NERV could become a deniable-asset organization working in much the same capacity as the SWA so that they could conveniently share space for a while.

If Shinji thought Asuka and Misato were hard-asses, he's really in for a shock from the girls and women of the Agency.

I love the idea, it has good potential. Just think of Asuka ticking off Triela, or if the OC characters are included Kaji trying to hit on Kara, or Petra, (a cannon character). Lol that would be amusing.

I think I'm going to have to tone down Asuka's bitch-factor a bit to keep her from pressing any of the girls' beserk buttons. Well, at least until it would be the right time to have it happen. Mwahahahaha.

Hmm, might be worth taking a peek at it then, although from what I hear the manga's pretty AU.
EDIT: Thanks for pointing it out. Asuka knows kung fu apparently. XD

Re: Staying up late without a computer to shape my thoughts = GSG/Evangelion crossover idea
Late nights, procrastination, and goofiness has caused this little plot bunny to pop into my head. Its running on rule of cool and or rule of funny so don't kill me
- long:
- The original six as they were known at the Social Welfare section 2 were enjoying a nice evening off, while their handlers enjoyed some sort of boring conference for the evening. While all of the girls enjoyed spending time with their handler, standing guard during a bunch of boring ass speeches in a highly secured government building was not their idea of a relaxing time. Instead they were enjoying some of Claes’s lovely tea and divine cakes, when their interesting existence decided to become even more interesting.
“Hey Claes, when did you pain a zebra on the ceiling,” Rico asked staring up at the white black stripped pattern now hovering above them.
“Beatrice, you didn’t slip anything into the tea this time,” Triela groaned.
Beatrice shook her head furiously. “I swear I didn’t do anything this time, and there really is something on the ceiling,” Beatrice said pointing upward.
“Ok,” Triela muttered going along with the prank as she slowly gazed upward. The zebra like pattern soon gave way to an all encompassing darkness.
“What the hell is that,” Henrietta asked pointing at the dark hole hovering above them.
“Not a clue,” Rico added tossing her cup into the darkness.
“Ouch,” a male voice sounded from the darkness moments before a body fell out of the portal Claes’s table breaking the fall with a resounding crash the distortion on the ceiling vanishing. “I could see the opening just fine Asuka, you didn't need to throw anything at me,” the body muttered slowly sitting up. The girls sat in stunned silence as a young boy only slightly older than Triela gazed around the room scratching the back of his head in confusion. The boy wore a skin tight uniform that looked like some sort of high tech armored flight or space suit. What really set the girls on edge however was that he smelled of blood, lots of blood, like he was taking a bath in it.
“Um, this definitely is not the Geofront,” Shinji muttered glancing out the window. “Um, could you mind telling me where I am at the moment,” Shinji asked hesitantly.
“You are at the Social Welfare agency in Rome Italy,” Beatrice replied carefully monitoring the boy.
“Um, but wasn’t Rome destroyed during the second impact,” a nervous Shinji replied.
“What’s second impact,” Rico asked.
“Um you’re kidding right,” Shinji asked raising an eye brow.
“Nope, never heard of it,” Beatrice added while the rest of the girls continued to examine him.
“Um, you know big asteroid hitting Antarctica, melting the ice caps, rising sea levels, killing several billion people knocking the earth off its axis,” Shinji replied.
“Claes the doctor’s aren’t trying to look for a cure for crazy in their labs are they,” Triela muttered rolling her eyes at the boy’s story.
“Not that I know of,” Claes replied.
“So kid, what’s today’s date?” Triela asked.
“January 17, 2015,” Shinji replies.
“He has the right date,” Claes said.
“You don’t believe me do you,” Shinji said hanging his head.
“What about alternate realities or something like that,” Rico chimed in.
“Those are only in TV Rico,” Henrietta said bopping her roommate on the head.
“Well according to some theoretical physicists it is possible,” Claes mutters.
“So you believe this nut job,” Beatrice cracks.
“For now,” Claes replies. “But we will need additional information.”
“Like your name and how you managed to get in here,” Triela adds staring down the boy.
“Um ok, but could you not stare at me like that,” Shinji replied.
“Why,” Henrietta asked.
“Well it’s creepy and it reminds me of Asuka before she hits me,” Shinji replied.
“Ok,” Beatrice, Angelica, Henrietta, and Rico reply softening their glares.
“Well sorry about all this, but my name is Shinji Ikari, and I’m the pilot of Evangelion unit 02. I was fighting the 12th angel, Leliel before it sucked me into some kind of black hole alternate dimension thing and the next thing I know I was hit with a cup of tea and then fell out on top of everyone.” Shinji explains.
“What are the angels, why are you fighting them, who do you work for, why do you smell, like blood, what’s an Evangelion,” the girls ask in rapid succession.
A wide eyed Shinji slowly continued as the questions died down. “I work for NERVE which is tasked with defending Tokyo 3 and defeating the Angels. My father who I hadn't seen in ten years called me to NERVE because he had a use for me, mainly piloting and destroying angels, outside of that he doesn't care about anything. The angels, well they are either alien cluthulu monsters bent on destroying humanity, or divine beings sent by god to destroy humanity. Either way second impact the real second impact, the awakening of Adam the giant of light started everything. So far we've managed to stop ten angels, sachiel, shamshel, ramiel, gaghiel, israfel, sandaphon, matareal, sahaquiel, ireul, and Leliel which is still out there somewhere. Even I don’t know exactly what the Evangelions are but Dr. Akagi said they are copies of angels used to fight for humanity and the LCL is their blood which allows me to breathe and mentally connect to the Evangelion while I am piloting it.”
“What do you mean your father had a use for you,” Henrietta asked.
Shinji suppressed a growl. “He left me alone with his teacher for ten years. Not a word or anything for ten years and then he brings me nothing but pain. Yet I still want to make him proud,” Shinji replied sadly. “But all I do is screw things up. I bet Asuka wouldn't have ended up like this.”
“What about your mother,” Rico asked.
“Mom’s dead she died when I was four, she was killed during some kind of experiment,” Shinji replied.
“What’s it like piloting a giant robot,” Beatrice asked.
“Pain, and suffering,” Shinji replied.
“What do you mean Shinji,” Angelica said placing a smooth hand on his arm.
“Everything the Evangelion feels I feel. When it was stabbed through the eye, hands burnt off, shot in the chest with a particle beam and boiled alive, eaten like a chew toy, beaten to a pulp, immersed in a volcano, and burned with acid. The more I synch with the EVA the better I can control it but it means I feel everything.
“Can I see,” Angelica asked calmly.
“Um, ok,” Shinji replies nervously still unsure about the girls that surrounded him. They looked like ordinary girls but they carried themselves like section 2 agents and scared him a little.
“This is when the 4th Angel burned me with it’s particle cannon pointing to a large scar over his heart. It didn't penetrate any bones.” Shinji said. “But some days I wish it did,” Shinji said quietly causing the girls gasp in response.
“Girls conference outside, you stay here, and don’t try anything. We will know if you do,” Triela ordered as the girls left the room.
“Ok,” Shinji gulped.
“So what are we going to do with him,” Rico asked.
“Turn him over to our handlers,” Henrietta replied.
“I believe him,” Angelica stated firmly.
“You do,” Beatrice asked.
“Yes, his story is too detailed and you saw those scars, not to mention how he got here,” explained.
“The pain in his voice was real. Whatever happened to him and where ever he came from, it is real to him, his emotions were not faked,” Claes added.
“I agree,” Triela said with a nod of her head.
“So what do we do,” Henrietta asked.
“Keep him here for now, and turn him over in the morning when our handlers return,” Triela said as a loud explosion rocked the compound.
“What was that,” Rico asked.
“Russian made RPG-7, the front gate was just blown in,” Henrietta replied.
“The Padania,” Angelica asked.
“Most likely but the question is why,” Claes said.
“Questions later, Rico your on sniper duty, get on the roof and hit anything that moves, Claes will be your spotter. Beatrice, Henrietta, get to the medical wing no gets in or out. Angelica cover the administrative section and take our guest with you.” Triela ordered.
“What about you,” Henrietta asked.
“These bastards just attacked my home, and I want some payback now go,” Triela barked as the girls leapt into action.
“What’s going on?” Shinji asked while Angelica pulled him towards the administrative section.
“A northern Italian Terrorist group named Padania is attacking us,” Angelica said setting up in the doorway to the office building her enhanced vision picking out several terrorists moving on her position.
“Why,” Shinji asks as Angelica shoulders her Styr assault rifle.
“To destroy me and my sisters, the cyborgs of social welfare agency section 2,” Angelica replied firing off several short bursts into the darkness.
Despite the element of surprise, the Padania attack quickly stalled as the cyborgs returned fire their enhanced senses making the cover of darkness meaningless as they began to fall one by one. The Padania still had their trump card as a loud mechanical sound began to cut through the darkness. A vintage Russian T-80 slowly appeared out of the darkness, the metal monstrosity dominating the courtyard.
“Shit,” Angelica cursed as their bullets bounced off the metal leviathan.
“Do you have anything bigger,” Shinji asked for once wishing he had his unit 1.
“No we don’t normally deal with anything like this, we are a clandestine group,” Angelica shot back as the turret slowly turned towards them.
“Crap,” Shinji said acting on instinct throwing his body over Angelica while holding out his arm as if to protect Asuka or Rei during an angel battle.
The loud retort of the tanks main gun cut through the night as the other cyborg girls looked on in horror as their sister was about to be blown into tiny pieces. An explosion rocked the compound, the girls already mourning Angelica as the smoke slowly cleared revealing a glowing orange wall in front of an untouched administrative building.
“An AT field what the hell,” Shinji muttered surprised to see the glowing orange barrier materialized before him. “Did I do that?”
“Do what,” Angelica asked as another round impacted harmlessly against the orange force field.
“Materialize an AT field, a weapon the EVA’s can use against the angels but I’m not supposed to be able to do that outside an Evangelion.
“Oh,” a confused Angelica said.
“Can you do anything else with it,” Angelica asked.
“I can only make a shield but the Angels can do all kinds of stuff with it,” Shinji replied as the battle slowed to a crawl stunned by recent events.
“Like what,” Angelica asked as her sisters began driving the Padania from the compound.
“Energy blasts, energy spikes, energy whips, regeneration, but I don’t know how they do that,” Shinji replied.
“Maybe you just need to imagine something other, than a shield,” Angelica said.
“Ok,” Shinji said with a shrug imagining a glowing ball in his hand instead of a shield. The glowing wall of energy slowly collapsed focusing on Shinji’s hand until he held a glowing orange ball, similar to what the powerful martial artist might hold in a kids cartoon. “Now what?”
“Throw it at the bad guys,” Angelica said with a shrug. Still unsure about it, but with the bullets flying once more Shinji wasted no time in hurling the ball with all his might towards the tank. The glowing orange ball slowly floated through the air, bouncing once on the main body of the tank before a might cross shaped flare lit up the night.
“Holly shit,” the girls gasped as the tank vanished in a cross shaped pillar of fire.
“Beatrice what did you do,” Claes growled bemoaning the loss of her garden.
“I didn't do it,” Beatrice shot back. “But I wish I knew who did. That was awesome.”
“Um, sorry about that, I didn't think that the explosion would be so big,” Shinji said rubbing the back of his head as the girls met in the destroyed courtyard.
“Marry me,” Beatrice said glomping the surprised pilot.
“Um…” Shinji stammered not used to the attention and the fact that the girl was clearly far too young to be saying such things.
“Well I think this does lend some credence to your story,” Claes remarked still wondering when she walked into a science fiction movie.
A glint in the darkness caught Shinji’s, “Get down,” Shinji yelled tackling Triela to the ground as the staccato of gunfire cut through the night. “Argh,” Shinji screamed in pain as the heavy caliber bullets impacted against the high tech weave of his plug suit. The projectiles failed to penetrate but the force of the blows still pounded his body and the exhausted pilot fell unconscious.
“Rico,” Triela barked, the young blond quickly taking aim and downing the final opponent.

“So you are telling me this kid can make orange force fields and blow up tanks by throwing glowing balls of energy at them,” Bernardo said.
“And he is from an alternate universe where he pilots a giant robot against angels who are trying to destroy the world,” Jose said.
“And that he was forced into it by his father,” Jean said. “I thought you were beyond these types of jokes, Rico,” Jean muttered.
“Jean, we all saw him….” Rico replied.
“I know, and we have it on video. It’s like something out of Priscilla’s god dammed anime.” Jean muttered.
“Um, Jose, what is going to happen to Shinji,” Henrietta asked.
“I don’t know,” Jose replied still coming to terms with the insane story.
“Another unfamiliar ceiling,” Shinji groaned as he slowly came to staring blankly at the white tiles above him.
“I supposed a thank you is in order, Mr. Ikari,” Hillshire said staring down at the young boy.
“Yes, I suppose we have you to thank for saving our girls last night,” Marco added.
“Um, where am I,” Shinji asked.
“The medical facilities at the Social welfare agency,” Triela chimed in.
“So it wasn't a dream last night,” Shinji said slowly sitting up.
“No, and thank you for saving us,” Angelica added.
“You’re welcome, and sorry for causing you any trouble,” Shinji replied.
“It wasn't your fault,” Angelica replied.
“It was the stupid Padanaia,” Triela growled.
“Girls, wait outside,” their handlers ordered.
“Yes, sir,” the girls replied exiting the room.
“It wasn't their fault,” Shinji said.
“Oh, we know,” Hillshire replied.
“The real question is what to do with you Mr. Ikari,” Marco added.
“See the thing is you don’t exist, and neither does a Yui Ikari, Gendo Ikari, Gendo Robonuki, Rei Ayanami, or anyone else you’ve named except Asuka Shikinami Langley.” Hillshire explained.
“But that’s not,” Shinji muttered.
“We know but it’s the closest lead we have,” Hillshire stated.
“So what are we going to do with you,” Marco asked.
“Um, I can cook and clean, and I can defend this place if those people attack again,” Shinji blurted out afraid of the alternative having heard of section 2 making people disappear.
“Claes was right no sense of self and eager to please,” Marco groaned.
“Cooking and cleaning will be just fine kid, but none of that glowing anime stuff ok,” Hillshire said.
“Ok,” Shinji replied.
A knock on the door drew their attention to the door way where a long hair blond girl about Shinji’s age in a maid outfit gave them a wave. “Hi, I’m Tea, So you’re my new helper,” the girl exclaimed.
“Um, yes,” Shinji replied eyeing the girl. She was around his age but a little taller and a little less curvy than Asuka. Her kind face is what really captured Shinji’s attention, not the I’m being nice to you out of pity face Misato sometimes used, or the I’m being nice to you because I want something face Asuka often used on him. This was an honest to goodness outpouring of kindness because she cared. Maybe things will be a little different here.
“We had to cut you out of your flight suit yesterday and the geeks in the tech department as still going googly eyed over it so you’ll have to settle for some of Triela’s clothing for now,” the girl said handing him a women’s pant suit.
“Um, isn't this girls clothing,” Shinji replied.
“Sorry about that but it’s the only thing we could find in your size, but don’t worry I've already cleared it to take you shopping later today OK.” Tea said.
“Alright,” Shinji moaned hanging his head. At least it’s not Asuka’s plug suit.
“Ready to go Shinji,” Tea called out.
“Yes,” a blushing Shinji replied stepping out of the room. Despite his slight physique the clothing hugging his body tightly, not helping in his desperate attempt to appear male. Even the handlers had to take a second look at the boy and remind themselves that their newest arrival was male.
“Hey Shinji looks even better than Triela,” Henrietta commented eyeing the way the pants hugged the boys legs.
“Do you want to die,” Triela growled.
“Meep,” both Shinji and Henrietta squeak before hiding behind Tea.
“It’s not Shinji’s fault his giant robot is turning him into a girl, besides we are the stronger sex anyway,” Beatrice quipped.
Claes palmed her face. “Beatrice, I can’t even begin to tell you just how many things are wrong with that statement.”
“Um, I wouldn't put anything past the EVA,” Shinji muttered. And it would explain why Rei and Asuka are so much more gifted than the other girls our age, but man I hope it isn't true I don’t want to be a girl. Shinji shuddered at the thought of ending up a girl called Shijuko, and being stuffed in a dress.
“No making fun of my new assistant or else,” Tea said stomping her foot.
“Yes, mam,” the girls replied before scattering.

“Are you sure this is a good idea director,” Jean Croce asked.
“No, but this child displays unique abilities that could prove useful to us if we can determine how they work. Also that flight suit of his is more resilient than what we currently use to armor our cyborgs. The tech department is already working on breaking it down and synthesizing it for future use. The boy is an enigma, but he is our enigma, until we can fully determine just who and what he is, he will remain here. Besides word has spread of his exploits and several minor Padania cells have surrendered so they don’t have to face him. Not to mention the girls seem to like him and let’s face it the girls could use some male interactions that isn’t their handler or a terrorist.” Chief Lorenzo explained.
Shinji easily adapted to life at the agency, cooking meals for the girls doing laundry, and attending academic classes with them. Really it wasn’t any different than his life in Tokyo 3 sans the drunken guardian, violent red headed roommate, and giant monsters out to end the world. “Um, excuse me, Claes, do you have any laundry for today,” Shinji asked knocking on the girls door.
“Yes, hold on,” Claes said opening the door. “Here the quiet glasses wearing girl said dumping a pile of clothing into his bin several bras sitting on top.
“Um, Claes,” a beat red Shinji replied.
“Yes,” Claes said arching an eyebrow.
“Your bra’s…..” Shinji stammered.
“It’s just clothing,” Claes shrugged.
“But….” Shinji stammered.
Claes placed her hands over Shinji’s pulling him into the room. “Sit,” Claes ordered.
“Um, Claes,” a confused Shinji asked.
“Shinji, seeing my underwear is not your fault. You asked for laundry and it just happened to be on top. If anyone should be upset it’s me, and I’m not. You are doing all of us a favor by doing our laundry, and if we didn't want you to see it then we wouldn’t give it to you.” Claes explained.
“But Asuka….” Shinji stammered.
“Is a red headed harpy who wanted to beat you into submission and turn you into her loyal slave, or she is just using you to cover up her own inadequacies,” Claes said.
“But she is right, I am always screwing up,” Shinji said.
“Shinji, we are young, and we are human, it’s in our nature to screw up, the important thing is to get up and keep trying,” Claes explained.
“But what if I hurt people,” Shinji replied.
“As long as you keep trying and never give up then in the end you won’t hurt anyone,” Claes reassured him placing a hand on his shoulder.
“Thanks Claes,” Shinji said with a smile. “But I’d better get moving or Tea will be upset with me.”
“Anytime,” Claes replied. Score one for Ms Claes the Psychotherapist.
“That was a good thing you did Claes,” Hillshire said coming into her room moments after Shinji left.
“You were listening?” Claes asked.
“Yes,” Hillshire said.
“Good, maybe you’ll take my advice to then,” Claes said cracking a grin. “Now if you’ll excuse me my painting awaits.”

“What cha doing?” Rico asked.
“Trying to finish up homework for tomorrow,” Shinji said staring down at the complicated math problems.
“Oh, ok, it’s A, C, D, B, E, D, C, A,” Rico said rattling off the answers.
“Um, thanks,” Shinji said quickly writing down the answers making a note to check them later.
“See, now you can come play football with us. Triela and Angelica are out on missions and Claes is busy.” Rico explained pulling Shinji along.
“Um, ok,” Shinji said as the young cyborg drug him along.
“I got Shinji, he’ll play goalie for me,” Rico exclaimed.
“Ok,” Beatrice and Henrietta called back.
“Umph,” Shinji let out a breath as Rico tossed the heavy five kilogram medicine ball to him. “Rico, why are you playing with a medicine ball?”
“Because the field is too small for us to play with a regular one, cyborg remember,” Rico explained.
“Um, yeah,” Shinji replied. These girls are going to be the death of me.
“Well kick it down field,” Rico said.
“Rico, I think you should do it,” Shinji said.
“I can’t silly, the goalie has to make the kick remember,” Rico replied.
Does she want me to break my foot? I guess I could throw it, but it won’t get very far. I could try using that again. Focusing on his AT field on the ball, in his hands a series of orange circles formed around his arm as Rico looked on. Well here goes nothing. With barely a thought Shinji launched the medicine ball down the field, the ball nearly knocking Henrietta aside like a spare bowling pin.
“Jean please tell me you didn't order Rico to organize a soccer game to test Shinji’s unique abilities,” Jose asked as they gazed down on the game from the administrative building.
“I didn't,” Jean replied not even sparing his brother a glance. “Rico is a smart girl she does come up with a useful plan once and a while.”
Jose could only gape at his brother. Do you have any idea how wrong that is. “I see, so will Rico be planning missions anytime soon?” Jose asked
“Not a chance in hell,” Jean replied. The girl’s game continued as Shinji used his AT field to help soften the blow of the girl’s shots and launch the soft cannon ball down the field. The boy’s use of his power was becoming more instinctual as he continued to work and live at the agency from the constant prodding of the scientists and for basic survival when living with insanely strong cyborg girls who sometimes didn't know their own strength. Having mastered the use of a defense AT field Shinji begrudgingly began working on some more offensive ability that didn't require him creating giant flares of cross shaped energy.
“You know his powers remind me of those X-men comics we read as kids,” Jose said.
“Yeah like a male version of Jean Grey when she was taken over by the phoenix,” Jean replied.
“I was actually thinking of Gambit or Jubilee , with the way he blew up the tank,” Jose said.
“So now you want to go to Stan Lee for information,” Jean remarked.
“Hahaha, did my stone cold brother just crack a joke,” Jose chuckled.
“Hhhhmm,” Jean glared at his brother before marching out of the room.
“Geese you think he could take a joke,” Jose said as a loud crash echoed through the room and he was knocked to the floor with a heavy thud, an errant medicine ball knocking the wind out of him. “Argh, Jean you bastard,” Jose groaned.
“Sorry, the combined voices of Henrietta, Rico, and Beatrice called out from bellow.

“What’s wrong,” Shinji asked as he walked by a rather subdued tea party in Claes’s room.
“It’s Angelica,” Triela said.
“But I thought you could be repaired pretty easily,” Shinji blurted out.
“Physically yes, mentally no,” Claes said.
“She’s dying,” Beatrice said.
“What, why, how?” Shinji blurted out.
“She has reached the end of her useful lifespan and her brain is breaking down. Jose said she has a couple of days at best,” Henrietta explained.
“So that’s it, she’s just used up and thrown out like the trash,” Shinji blurted out. While he had known for some time that the girl were secret government weapons, and had a limited lifespan, Shinji thought that was still years away.
“Here she wanted me to give this to you,” Beatrice said handing over a note.
Dear Big brother,
If you’re reading this then I died protecting Marco. I know the conditioning medication makes me want to protect him, but I want to anyway. He was like the father I never had; my biological father was a jerk who tried to run me over with his car. Try not to be too hard on Marco, and make sure he takes care of himself. I’m sorry I won’t be around to try anymore of your tasty food or listen to you play Cello.
Love your little sister,
Angelica
“Where is she,” Shinji growled crushing the note in his hand.
“The medical wing, but what can you hope to accomplish,” Triela said.
“I don’t know, but I’m going to fix this,” Shinji said marching off to the medical wing.
“Shinji wait,” the girls called out.
“You can’t go in there,” one of the scientists said stepping in front of the door to Angelica’s room.
“Why not,” Shinji replied glaring at the man.
“Because the cyborg is as good as dead and we are just waiting for her heart to stop,” the man replied.
“Wrong answer,” Shinji growled shoving the man aside with his AT field.
“Shinji what are you doing here,” Marco asked stunned as Shinji barged into the room.
“Fixing this,” Shinji growled.
“How,” Marco asked.
“I don’t know,” Shinji said shoving the letter into Marco’s hand.
“The AT field, or Absolute Terror Field has been described as the light of the soul. Well I’ve seen Angels do all sorts of crazy things with their and my soul is screaming to save her. Angelica was always nice to me and she believed me the moment I entered this universe. She doesn’t deserve this non of the girls do and it’s the big brothers job to look after their little sisters.” Shinji said as his AT field flared to life around Angelica covering her in an orange cocoon.
The AT field acts on my thoughts and desires and does what ever the hell it wants half the time, well I reject this, Angelica is not a sickly dying girl. She is a vibrant young girl like any other young teen. Sweat poured down Shinji’s face as he focused on the image in his head of a healthy Angelica. The glow continued to grow blinding everyone in the room before shattering into a million shards of light.

“Where am I,” Angelica asked gazing around the endless white void she woke up in.
“You are between worlds child,” a woman’s voice replied, a female form slowly forming before her.
“Um, who are you,” Angelica asked as the woman finished materializing her face reminiscent of Shinji’s.
“Yui Ikari,” the woman replied.
“Are you Shinji’s mother,” Angelica asked.
“Yes, I am that idiot’s mother,” Yui replied.
“Shinji is not an idiot,” Angelica fired back.
“I think I know my son, and he is playing with forces beyond his comprehension,” Yui replied.
“Shinji is a kind boy who tries his best at everything, despite everything that is thrown at him,” Angelica shot back as she slowly faded from view.
“It seems my baka has succeeded, for now but he will conform to the scenario eventually,” Yui commented.
“The hell he will, Shinji will make up his own mind,” Angelica said leaving a final parting shot as she vanished.
“Dam it Gendo what the hell did you do, our plans are slipping away,” Yui remarked as she fell back into Shinji’s core.

“Shinji your mother is a jerk,” Angelica moaned slowly returning to the land of the living.
“Angelica,” Marco cried out.
“What did you do,” Dr. Bianchi said barging into the room.
“My big brother saved me,” Angelica replied slowly sitting up.
“The question is how,” the doctor asked.
“The hell if I know,” Marco replied. “But thanks kid I owe you one.”
“It’s the big brothers job to look after their little sisters,” Shinji replied. “But now I really need some sleep,” Shinji said before passing out.
“So can someone tell me just what the hell happened yesterday,” Chief Lorenzo groaned.
“Shinji, somehow managed to save Angelica with that weird power of his,” Marco replied.
“What is the status of Angelica,” the chief asked.
“Completely recovered,” Dr. Bianchi replied.
“Good, and how long do you expect her to be operational,” Lorenzo asked.
“Um, well we aren't sure,” the doctor replied.
“What do you mean you aren't sure,” Lorenzo shot back.
“The thing is we still don’t know what Shinji did to her,” the good doctor replied stunning the group. “We can’t detect any of our normal cybernetic components or conditioning medications, so we tested her just to be sure,” Bianchi explained pausing for a moment. “However she is just as strong and resilient as ever, in fact she might even be a little stronger now that her body weighs that of a normal girls.”
“That’s impossible,” Marco said struggling to comprehend the new information.
“I know, but from what little we have been able to determine Angelica is now a Bio-organic cyborg. Her base physiology and anatomy has been fundamentally changed, not to sound cliched but it’s like she is the next step in human evolution.” The good doctor struggled to explain.
“This makes no sense, but nothing with that boy ever does. Does Angelica have powers like Shinji,” Jean asked.
“Not at this time,” the doctor replied.
“Angelica will remain on backup duty for the time being until the full extent of her changes can be determined,” Lorenzo said as the handlers left his office. “Marco it’s not every day we get a second chance,” said to his retreating form.
“I know sir, and it’s one I do not intend to waste,” Marco replied.

“Shinji,” Marco called out.
“Mr. Toni, I’m sorry about yesterday I just wanted to try and save her,” Shinji said quickly.
“And you did, for which I am eternally grateful,” Marco replied.
“But what if I failed, what if I hurt her,” Shinji said.
“But you did not, you saved a life Shinji. I don’t know what you did, but it’s like she was never turned into a cyborg in the first place. My daughter will have a normal life thanks to you,” Marco said.
“That’s good,” Shinji said breathing a sigh of relief.
“I owe you one kid, anything you want,” Marco said.
“Really,” Shinji said.
“Yes, now what can Uncle Marco do for you,” Marco said.
“Um, well,…” Shinji said stealing a glance across the compound at Tea.
“A date for your girlfriend, I’ll see what I can do,” Marco replied.
“But she’s not my girlfriend,” Shinji protested.
“Yet,” Marco chuckled.

“Tea,” Angelica called out walking up to the lone agency maid.
“Yes, Angelica,” Tea replied.
“What do you think of Shinji,” Angelica asked.
“Well he’s…” Tea said fighting back a blush.
“Handsome, kind, special, quiet, good musician, well built,” Angelica said reading off a card.
“Wait what,” Tea blurted out.
“Beatrice,” Angelica groaned.
“Ugh what is wrong with that girl,” Tea groaned.
“Bernardo,” the pair said.
“Angelica, what brought this on,” Tea asked.
“My big brother likes you,” Angelica said bluntly.
“Yes,” Angelica replied. “And Marco said he would help him get a date with you.”
“Geese all he had to do was ask you know,” Tea groaned. “Who does he think I am a red headed harpy that will suck out his soul and feed on his lifeless husk?”
“Great, he will pick you up at 7pm,” Angelica exclaimed shoving a package into her arms.
“Um, ok,” Tea replied as Angelica ran off.

Mario Bossi would make a better handler than Marco Toni. Come to think of it, so would Christiano.

Elizaveta didn't jump - she was pushed.
