Damnit...
Ever suffered the aftereffects of having two skunks get into a fight on your street?
My darn window is closed and I can still smell them.

I've hit one with my Thunderbird. Skunk spray on hot exhaust pipes is a smell no human being should have to experience.

Thunderbird's? I kind of like mine...
...it's a bit hard on tires (and skunks) though.

Haha, I meant the skunks...
...honestly though I think we don't get those because the wild-life over here has never heard of "less than lethal" approaches to self defence.
Don't know if we ever got Thunderbirds in Australia officially, the only few I've seen have been the left hand drive Ford variety and of a size more suitable for landing naval fighters on than driving.

Actually, T-birds are pretty big cars, especially in a sports car sense. It comes from the dual-purpose-design nature as a family car and a sports car. The turbo models are a respectable sports car, but only in an American sense. Short of massive mods, they can't compete with the lighter, high-rev Jap models, or with a plain-jane muscle car, and certainly not with an Italian. About 90% of Corvettes can take a Turbo-Coupe T-bird, I'm guessing.

90% ?
That sounds about right. Every Corvette save for the damn nice looking, fun to drive, but not necessarily tear up the road; 1950's Chevy Corvette's.

It's a defense mechanism. The 'spray' to keep potential predators away. Like dogs, cats, and the occasional redneck/hillbilly.

reminds me of the skunks on Fort Knox. when the approach a basic training formation, and no one is sure if they're allowed to even turn their head to get a better look at it (much less run away)... hilarity ensues!

Yeah, I pet her and stroke her chin and ears while 'accepting the gift', which gets tossed out the window soon as she trots away.

Re: Damnit...
Nah.
Seen some lovely machine shop accidents at school, and some great car accidents in my time. The most fave?
While my friend and I were drag racing VW Bugs (my '73, his '71), two corvettes passed us like if we were standing still (when we were already clocking 45mhp on the side street). One corvette (a white early 90s - since this happened around summer of '93) hits a parked car and ends up sumersaulting end over end over a lamppost- mind you NYC Lamp posts are are 45ft high. It lands roof first. The driver somehow manages to crawl out the wreckage with 1/2 his skull missing and lovely pink/grey matter exposed in full view for all to see, saying "I'm Alright! I'm Alright!" He died in the ambulance as soon as he sat down. The other driver or his car was not hurt, but he stopped and was scared shitless. He was arrested for drag racing; at the time, they did not add homicide charges because that policy if fishing for charges was not in effect at the time. The cops asked us questions since we were the first on the scene and let us go.
BTW, Rotten[dot]com has a few nice pics of death and stuff. Somewhere in their collection is a guy who in a suicide, cut himself in half with a band saw. NNIIICCEEE!!!

I remember watching Budd Dwyer's suicide a while ago. It's quite bloody, but then again a .357 isn't the smallest bullet he could have used.

You called your cat Meeshie too? Well, mine's Mish, actually. That's pretty cool, too! lol Yeah, Mish does the same. When he was younger, he would get whatever he could catch - birds, lizards, rats, mice - and leave its mangled remains in the front step XDElfenMagix wrote:I've seen Meeshie do it all the time. Actually, this one is Meeshie the 5th. There has been 5 others before her. The OC version is Meeshie the 7th which is based on Meeshie the original in appearance. They were all trained and did the same 'gifting' thing.

my uncle caught the stoat in an ice cream tub,and let it out in the back garden by some fields, the same cat walked into the middle of the ground floor and let the live rat it was holding go,i swear that cat was laughing as the rat went ballistic and ran around up and down the walls !
