First up, song I actually found in another AMV that I thought.. hey, this kinda reminds me of School Days

Song:Bye Die by Pain

Anime: School Days
Character: Sekai (representing her view of Makoto around the final episode.)

How I would make an AMV like this if I had the time:

I know a lot of it is composed of the death scenes, but hey this is a heavy metal song, so brutality is to be expected.

Never really had any time to work on AMV's( or actually any time to learn how to use Windows Movie Maker sweat

).

But two songs that I've wanted to experiment with, especially in the GSG sense are;

No More Heroes by The Stranglers
and
The Saints are Coming by The Skids

Last I checked (a couple months ago) these were not made.

With Club to death dokuro-chan:

-tainted love (I think the marilyn manson cover suits the show best)

That song would fit sakura's version of the story,Dokuro's version would be completely different:

-Gimme More by Britney Spears

You could really have some fun with this song,during the first verse you could show the echi side of the show and for the "gimme more parts " reveal all the gore (since when watching the show,that's what the crowd wants) and for the rest of the amv have a mix of both depending on the lyrics.

For death note :

- Sucked in by Jerk

Crazy killer lyrics could be Light Talking,then the last verse could correspond to light's downfall

For k-on :

- Volcano Girls by Veronica Salt

Seems like something the girls would sing

For Azumanga Daioh ( a couple of beatles song)

- I'm only sleeping

There's lots of sleeping in Azumanga daioh,so there's no shortage of footage (and you can have some fun with the backward guitars)

- Strawberry Fields Forever

Psychadelic beatles songs go well with some of the weirdness in Azu Daioh , you might say it's a bit sad for the show,but i've always felt the show was a bit nostalgic,and with this song you could do trippy effects that wouldn't seem out of place (just look at the beatles viseo above)

Gunslinger Girl Il teatrino

- True Colors by cindy Lauper

Probably for a Triela amv,why il teatrino? I think "true colors" is a nice play on words considering some people didn't like how coloufull il teatrino was.

For Phantom ,requiem for the phantom

- melody from the noir OST

For A Cal amv , there's obviously the bee train locket connection with the song and anime,from 00:00 to 00:38 have young cal then 00:38- to 01:00 have a mix of young cal and adult Cal , then the rest of the song have adult Cal only

I'll stop here but I have a few more ideas,but i'm looking for ideas fo two animes:
-denno coil
-the girl who leap through time

As well as an anime to go with this linkin park song:

It's one of the rare LP songs that isn't overused in amvs,i'd like an anime the matches the lyrics as much as possible

Anime: Saikano
Song: Sabaton-Into the Fire
Characters- Atsushi, Tetsu
Reason- The song is a about a soldier who is napalmed in a friendly fire incedent in the Vietnam War. The anime has a scene where a character (Atsushi) is killed in friendly fire incedent (this time involving a 17-year old girl turned cybernetic superweapon named Chise). This scene reminded me of this song.

There are also a few other songs by Sabaton that fit (most of their songs are about war) with Saikano (Purple Heart, Price of a Mile, Firestorm)
