Oh lawd, the Hansel and Gretel one is just too darn adorable.

i wonder why they gave her a BAR ? the damn thing weighs a ton and the recoil is a bitch firing 30-06 rounds !

Cause she's super-strong?

While we're on the subject, I don't think that thing's any heavier than most of today's LMGs or SAWs.

indeed Nachtsider is correct:
M249- 7.5kg~16.5lbs
BAR- 8.8kg~19.4lbs
M60- 10.5kg~23.1lbs
M240B- 12.5kg~27.6lbs

Ammunition weight isn't figured into those, though. 30.06s are heavy... but then so are 7.62NATOs. Pretty much the only way to get a lighter machine gun than the BAR is to go with a 5.56... and that just won't do. you need a 30cal for gratuitous bloodshed.

OK, I had to search my whole computer, but I found two.

This one is my favorite. it used to spell "Black Lagoon" besides the chairs where the back ground is dark blue and red. but a little photo shopping took care of it.

I edited it, because I thought that it looked better with out that text in there.

Haha, that Hansel and Gretel pic is awesome.

Just as a couple notes on the BAR -I've never fired one, so I can't say what the recoil is like, but the things have a fairly low rate of fire compared to many other machine guns (450-650rpm on an A2 model, depending on the fire rate selected) and the weight also probably helps to dampen recoil somewhat (keep in mind the thing is more then twice the weight of a lot of assault rifles). I think that there's a case to be made for the problem with Gretel wielding the thing being more a matter of how she shoots it then the fact that she shoots it at all. Realistically, perhaps she ought to be firing from the hip using a sling more then shooting it from the shoulder (since she's small and its a heavy gun).

Then again, this is Black Lagoon, and that's hardly the biggest realism issue in the series. Perhaps I'm overthinking things a little?

the other thing about the bar is it only has a 20 round mag,so you would have to carry dozens of them and be very fast at reloading

They had custom 42-round mags for the BAR.
