The mother bit intrigues me and I might run with it. I remember a plotline from the original Eastman/Laird TMNT comics series where the (then) main antagonist, Karai, returns to New York to reestablish the Foot.

As the story goes on, it is revealed that Karai's main intention was to find her missing daughter and upon finding her, avenge her death. There is also a quote from Karai in that issue that has stuck with me over the years.

From a personal POV, I think this quote might suit Balalaika perfectly.

Hmmm.... Well that does seem the best way to react.

Typically, a man must avenge any insults done to his lady in which case I would put a gun to the offending persons face and ask said lady if she find it in her heart to let the guy live or if she wants him dead.

But all that is hypothetically speaking because I'd need to be close with her to begin with. And personally I doubt that she'd be interested, Heck she has over what a fifty guys who'd willingly follow her but even so she doesn't take interest in starting a family. Though I would suspect that if she would regard any man as special to her, it would be Chang from the triads. (A common shipping in doujins as I understand it.)
