Working on a new fanfic (spoilers from Manga)

Hi all.  It's been awhile since I last posted on here.  I wanted to let you know I'm gradually working on a fanfic idea that I've been thinking about for months now.  I know I'm not alone in being disappointed in how the Manga ended.  Yeah, there was closure pretty much all around; but by the time you got to the end, you missed your favorite characters.  My story picks up shortly after Mario Bossi reveals what really happened when Hilshire rescued Triela from the snuff film hideout.  It goes in an alternate direction; giving the handlers, starting from Hilshire and Allesandro up to Jose and even Jean more of a "humane" approach to how they feel about their cyborgs.

Thanks!  I know there's those that are thinking the notion of an alternate ending where at least some of the girls survive has been beaten around the bush all too often in fanfics, but I'm standing firm with my version.  I give it some of my own liberties (complete with swearing that was pretty rare in the Manga and absent in the anime), though I'm going spend time fine tuning it to make the events believable.

Woohoo another story where the girls survive.  I can't wait.

I'm not likely to ever bend canon to give the girls that sort of happy ending, but I do enjoy reading such stories when they're well-done. Welcome back, and I'm looking forward to seeing some post from you.

It's not going to be a super happy ending I'm thinking of, believe me.  In fact, I'm even thinking of spawning a new adventure series with my surviving character(s).  We'll see.

Hey, if it's quality writing, deep characterization, and poignant emotion, a happy ending, super or not, it will be worth reading.  Of course, I seem to have some strange reputation around these parts, so I'm not sure how other people will take to my saying this.
