Forum Newbie!
Hello!
I'm new! I got into GSG when I was about 12 years old, I had to convince my mom to let me buy the first manga because she was worried I'd want to run around like the girls in the book with guns. Then (If I recall correctly?) GSG kind of dropped off/between publishers/maybe it was just me? But I fell out of it for a while after not hearing any new comic were going to be released. Fast forward a few years, and I see my 1-4 of GSG! So I check up on Amazon, and sure enough there's new volumes! And pretty much ever since it has been steady, I've been into it.
I'm from Canada, and in university for Occupational Health Therapist. I hope to graduate in two years. >o< (I'm kinda a slacker/procrastinator.) It would also explain absences I may have around here. I'm also on Deviant Art if anyone cares! O:
I've never noticed this forum though, before! (Doh!) I wish I had found it sooner. Even though the anime is long over, and the manga is rolling up to ca close, I hope this place still can be at least somewhat active.
How busy is the OC section of this place? I have a fratello swirling around in my head, and I would love some feedback on my doujinshi so far of them. I'm more into comics/drawing than writing, but I can try!
Thank you, and nice to meet you all!

Re: Forum Newbie!
Hey, welcome to the forum (again )
*Dumps large pile of paper on the counter* now if you could just fill these out then sign here, here and... just there we'll look to getting you inducted.
Seriously though, welcome... I assume you were the kind person who dropped a watch on my dA account as well?
As to the OC section: quite busy.... as some have observed, those with OCs seem to have the most fun. We're always happy to offer feedback/crit and try to help buld a good set of characters. The chatbox is a pretty good resource as well.
Best of luck with your studies and doujin... and for jugglig the time input: been there, done that and know it can be a struggle at times... but worth it in the end. So make yourself at home.

Welcome to the boards!! I hope you like it here! ^_^
I also had the same problem with my mom when I got into GSG all those years ago. Not so much as she wouldn't let me read it and stuff, but I had to beg her to let me buy the official shirts (because they have guns on them) -_- She's fine with it now and I have tons of shirts with guns (Boondock Saints, mostly) >:3

Re: Forum Newbie!
Greetings, Haruyo...welcome to the forum.
Gotta be careful around some of the OC's though...they're not all as well behaved as the canon 'borgs.
My own OC is a perfect angel of course...she'd never do anything wrong.
One of the fun things about this community is that people adopt others' OC's & feature them in their own stories...creating a larger, expanded SWA universe. How busy is the OC section of this place?

Re: Forum Newbie!
The OC section is hugely popular here. We have a number of collaborative works that allow different writers' OCs to interact (the most active ones, presently, are 'Hunters in the Dolomites' and 'Rehabilitation Branch'). We also have a few threads designed specifically for introducing your 'borg and handler to the community ('Interview with a Cyborg' and 'Handler Debrief'). Check them out and get involved.

Mario Bossi would make a better handler than Marco Toni. Come to think of it, so would Christiano.

Elizaveta didn't jump - she was pushed.
.
Sofia was pregnant. It would have been a boy.

John Doe faked his own death - twice.

Enrica taught Jose everything he knows about the night sky.

Here's an odd thought: a Girl Guides troop run out of the SWA. Can you imagine the merit badges?
Oh, sorry for the threadjack, but it's a great way to show you how informal (read: insane) we are. Welcome to the nuthouse!
