Is Yu Aida here?

I don't know where to put this or if it's even been done before... but does anyone know if Yu Aida watches this site? Or maybe he is already a member... does anyone know?

Then the possibility exists that I locked him out. I delete and IP ban any and all users who still have zero posts a week after registering. Laughing

I actually wrote Yu very early on, supplying him with a link to this forum and everything. He, of course, didn't respond.

If he was here or stops by occasionally he'd probably have to move his hide right quick to somewhere else in Japan.

Or he might find a mob or three of Henrietta and Triela fans with rusty pitchforks, torches, tar, feathers, and boiling oil just outside his residence.

I admit that the shallow side of my character finds it deliciously ironic that in one of the greatest battles of Section 2, Triela is rendered Combat Ineffective and totally useless in the opening 10 seconds while Petrushka goes on to perform both magnificently and heroically.

Alternately it could be a ray of hope for the series. We all knew the Series One girls were not long for this world...this battle was their proverbial blaze of glory. Elevating Petrushka into the central role could mean Yu plans to keep this going longer or at least leave the SWA and its mission intact when he finally delivers the final chapter.

I'm currently deployed to Sicily, and hope to go to Toaramina to find 'Jose's House'. I have two more months here to do it.

If Yu Aida does come around every now and then, my guess is that he does so without registering, just to see comments, chit chat and the like.
I think I read somewhere a while back (I know, not very specific, sorry)
that authors in general try not to frequent fan sites for worry that he/she may be tempted to get ideas from stories they read and which may come back to haunt him if the similarities are too great, or not, who knows?
I mean, even if he started out knowing pretty much how the beginning, middle and end of the tale would be, (something he mentioned in an interview didn't he?) Aida might just want to inject some ideas, from fan fiction authors. Although considering how much doujinshi trades aspects and concepts back and forth in Japan, maybe it's not as big a deal as I imagine it to be. Another consideration is, he may not want to give the impression after letting himself known to us, that he prefers one person's work over another and possibly cause resentment or envy.
I dunno.
Honestly, I can think about this all day and never feel as though I've gotten anywhere in the end.... bang head

Yep.

Sicily is by a wide margin far, far better than Kandahar, Afghanistan. Except it's way colder here than Vegas.
