Italian special forces

hello again XD, well, in short terms, my english sucks so i will be short as i can
in gunslinger girl, italian armed forces are a common thread, so i think it would be fun discuss about their real forces, their guns and real actions.

i will begin with my fauvorite: the carabinieri
wikipedia says :"The Corps of Carabineers (or Corps of Carabiniers Italian: Arma dei carabinieri) is the national gendarmerie of Italy, policing both military and civilian populations. The Carabinieri is now a branch of the armed forces (alongside the Army, Navy and Air Force), thus ending their long-standing role as the first corps of the Italian army."
in other terms, they are like the special forces in the italian police, and they are one of the best military forces in the world, in fact, they are one of the few police corps with permision for carring long guns like the Beretta 12 smg like this submachinegun barettas http://world.guns.ru/smg/it/beretta-m12-e.html (in that site are other italy weapons :33)
in streets, they use the beretta 92, and oficers use the 8000 cougar, looks like shorter, but not less efective
they also use the the FM Minimi (XD, i know what you think, it is not the austin powers gun xd, it menas something like minimachinegun in french French: Mini Mitrailleuse)

PD: here in chile, the police calls carabineros de chile, and carabinero means carabinieri, the same name , in my dreams they had sexy 16 year old ciborg, and they come for me

Each branch of the Italian military has a special forces unit.

For the Carabinieri, it is the GIS - Gruppo di Intervento Speciale

For the Army, it is the 9th Parachute Assault Regiment. There are also "special operations forces" units like the 4th Alpini Regiment and the 26th Special Operations Helicopter Unit.

For the Navy, it is the COMSUBIN (Comando Raggruppamento Subacquei e Incursori Teseo Tesei).

And for the Air Force, it is the 17º Stormo Incursori, of which my OC Michele Pagani was a member in Pactio.

Then there are the various special forces units under the Ministries of the Interior and Finance, like the Polizia di Stato's NOCS (Nucleo Operativo Centrale di Sicurezza) and the Guardia di Finanza's ATPI (Antiterrorismo Pronto Impiego).
