Kodak Moments
I was recently browsing the internet for scenes of Monte Cassino to use as reference in a future story, when I chanced across this little treasure-trove - Justin & Agata's cycle tour of Britain & Europe, a photo-journal of a truly epic trek... 202 days, and which point they broke off early from their planned finish because they ran out of money!
The couple spend a substantial portion of their trip in Italy (Days 93-145), and while there's of course plenty of photos of Italy all over the internet, this has the advantage of being a collected and indexed in a single resource. There are some very attractive scenes here, and not necessarily all of the obvious monuments and tourist attractions too - if people are looking for backdrops for their writing or drawing, I daresay this would probably be handy.

That's a great resource. Little things like advertising signage and ordinary architecture (ie; not classical or renaissance but everyday stuff) is often hard to research.

Speaking locations in Italy... here's a fabulously rustic 4th century Tuscan guesthouse. I can't really make use of it for J+M, but someone else may find an application for it:

I imagine even the SWA needs safe houses.
