Age of Character ??? :D

I wonder that how old are the characters in GSG ?
i guess Triela is about 15 yrs ?? ,Rico and Henrietta is about 10 yrs ?
And the handler ,Hilshire ,Jean ,Jose ,How old are they ? I guess their age are less than 30 yrs?

Tri would be 13-14, Claes and Elsa 12-13, Petra 16-17-ish and Angie, Bea, Etta and Rico about 11 or so. This is as far as physical age goes, of course. Mental age is another can of worms entirely, given the fact that cyborgs don't really physically grow.

Apart from Sandro, 'less than thirty' for the handlers doesn't seem like a realistic estimate to me. I'd put Giuseppe and Lauro at 'early thirties', Jean and Hillshire at 'mid-to-late thirties', and Marco at 'late thirties to early forties'. Raballo was probably fifty at the least.

The only known ages are for Rico and Petrushka.

Rico was converted at 11 and Petrushka was converted at 16.

As for the rest of the girls, my personal opinion is that they were converted at:

Angelica: 11-12
Beatrice: 11-12
Elsa: 10-11
Henrietta: 10-11
Claes: 12
Triela: 12-13
Chiara: 12-13
Silvia: 12-13

As for the other Series 2 girls, I would say 15 was their conversion age, since Petrushka was said to be at the outside age range.

As for the handlers, Alessandro is likely just past his 30th birthday.

I would say the Croce brothers are just entering their mid 30's.

Hillshire is likely approaching 40, as is Marco and likely Lauro.

Raballo was surely in his 40s.

I think those are pretty good estimates, but I'd tack another year onto Triela (14) based on relative height and her teen-angsty personality.

In flashback Chapter 40 Rosanna correctly guesses that Alessandro is 20. I don't think a full decade has passed from then to the current (her looks haven't changed a bit), so I'd place him between 26-28.

If Raballo is in his 40's, it's his late 40's. Did he show up in any chapters of the recent flashback arc?

Yeah I could buy that. She can pass for 20 with Sandro's make-up and cosmesis and in the early Pinnochio arc she seemed to pass for Hilshire's partner (so people thought she was at least 18).

Alessandro left Public Safety almost four years prior to joining Section 2 and being paired with Petrushka, so I agree 26-28 sounds about right.

That's a bummer. His chapter (6) implies that he was in the same Carabinieri unit as Jean...I thought he might have shown up in the Balkans.

I'm not sure Jean was in the Balkans, to be honest. I think just Jose served outside the Republic.

I get the feeling once Jean and Sophia met and fell in love, they both mustered out of the Carabinieri, leaving only Jose in uniform.

Okay, I guess that makes sense. Giuse did point out to Enrica that her other brother would still be around when she protested his deployment to the Balkans.

When Marco joined the SWA, he has already achieved a Military Career as well as a an academic one with a law degree. This would make him at least 28 when joining and 7 years or so later, 35 at Angie's death. He could be younger if he traded in Life Skills Credit for his degree.

Hillshire would be the same age, for similar reasons. Most agencies (I'm using the CIA and FBI as examples) will have Field Agents with Masters Degrees or many years of service elsewhere and a Bachelor's degree. Only rarely will they use individuals with no college experience unless they have a very specific skill they are in need of. With a Masters Degree and a couple of years at the Europol Service, Hillshire would be about 26-29, with having just as many years as Marco, would now be between 32 - 36.

So with Chapter 66, we now know Jean was 23 when he met Sophia and it kind of implies that Jose might be three years his junior. Based on Alessandro's comments, five years have passed since the bombing so that would make Jean 28-29 and Jose possibly 25-26.

Alessandro was 20 when Rosanna met him. It had been almost four years between his leaving Public Safety and his joining Section 2 as Petrushka's handler. So I'd say Sandro is probably around 25-26, himself, which could make him as old as Jose.
