Calico Weapons? Empty Calico Weapons?

Post by Jacen Starslayer Thu 4 Feb 2010 - 21:06

I was in the process of creating an OC fratello team for RPing and perhaps later incorporating into my story. And I remembered the twin M-100Ps that you could find in Resident Evil: Code Veronica. I was wondering what your opinions on equipping a cyborg with two M-110s one in each hand for overt missions, are since I've never fired a gun.

These are the pros and cons that I've thought of.
Cons
-Spare mags are expensive
-Since the rear sights are part of the magazine, your sights are off whenever you reload
-They fire in only semi-automatic

Pros
-at 100 rounds per gun, she won't have to really worry about running out of bullets during most missions.
-They could theoretically be concealed in a Tenor Saxophone case
-At a glance you can guess how ammo you have left.

Once again, I don't claim to be an expert.

The 'spare mags are expensive' argument is moot, as money evidently means nothing to the SWA. If you are to arm your OC with a Calico weapon, however, I'd recommend the M960 SMG over this semiauto thing.

Yeah, it was the only one of the third person Resident Evil games that I didn't beat. As it was Playstation 2 and Dreamcast only.

if you can stand a .22LR then The American-180 is your new best friend with up to 275 rounds and 1200 rounds per minute.

as its .22 you get low report, low recoil,
low probability of ricochets and over-penetration, good accuracy and cheap common ammo.
body armor can be beaten by whight of fire.
some more info
and thay do kits for macs so thay can use calico mags.

A cyborg doesn't have to worry about recoil, though.

I was originally suggesting the dual Calico M-100P (M110) as the characters pistols. Since the high capacity clip and low recoil, made dual wielding at least in my opinion possible for extended CQB-type battles.
